Geoffrey is infamous for his love triangle with Varya Malina and Mary Wallace on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4. Nowadays, most fans know Geoffrey as the true antagonist of the show. The Knoxville, Tennessee native recently had a televised trial for physically assaulting his ex-fiancee. After a two-day trial, he has been found guilty of aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, and interference with an emergency call.
His trial was delayed for months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and he finally received the judgment on October 7. While he did take the stand, Geoffrey's words didn't help him to escape punishment. The dramatic case unfolded on Court TV, so 90 Day Fiancé fans could see the entire court proceedings in full detail. For now, Geoffrey remains in prison until his scheduled sentencing on December 3, 2021. It seems like Geoffrey was still together with his onscreen fiancee Varya Malina because she has now deactivated her Instagram account. The Russian native was apparently not present in court, but she appears to be quite unsettled after the verdict.
A lot of 90 Day Fiancé stars are reacting to Geoffrey's guilty verdict, including Corey. He shared his reaction via an Instagram story, in which he seems to be doubting the court's judgment. He wrote, "Apparently he could have accepted an early deal that involved no jail time and basically no other issues. If he was so confident to go to trial is there something we are missing?" It seems like Corey is trying to add an unnecessary twist to the whole situation while ignoring the strong evidence shown by the prosecution. Corey, who was slammed by Evelin for cheating, said, "I truly hope they got everything right. Because if so he deserves every bit of sentencing IMO."
Corey has reacted to another post shared by 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates on Instagram. He wrote, "I'm actually surprised they let him on 90 Day Fiance. They do extensive background checks." Fans commented that TLC may have missed Geoffrey's charge because it was relatively new in June of 2019. However, another person claimed that the network knew about his criminal history and chose to cast him anyway because the show producers wanted drama.
It seems like Corey is needlessly confused about the guilty verdict. After looking at all the evidence and the victim's testimony, most 90 Day Fiancé fans are satisfied with the jury's decision.
