Corey Rathgeber from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way wasted no time before firing back at Evelin Villegas's alcoholic claims. He says he's fine.
As most fans know, Corey put money into opening a bar that he and Evelin Villegas now run in Ecuador. She recently accused him of failing to deal with his alcohol addiction in the proper manner. TLC viewers are not sure where the couple stands right now since they watched her turn down his proposal on the show. They ended up marrying in private, according to information unearthed from a police report. However, during all of last year, Evelin was dating new people, and many 90 Day Fiancé fans wonder if the allegations she's directing at Corey are just a ploy to try and gain more followers.
Fans were taken aback when Evelin outed her lover's supposed alcoholism to the public during one of her Instagram stories. Corey clapped back by coming to his own defense on his social media account. He letting his fans know he is okay. The reality star took to his John Yates Instagram account, which is set to private, to share his response with his supporters. The TLC personality posted a picture of himself on the beach as he held his surfboard. He appeared healthy. The American reached out to fans saying, “I’m a very happy and healthy individual. However, I appreciate the concerns directed towards me. Please know everything with me is complete okay.” He signed off with a smiley emoji, but some wondered if Evelin had written the story since there was some poor English. However, it could have been a spelling mistake.
Social media users dived into the post to dissect it, and there were fans who pointed out that he did not use the #sober hashtag. Corey Rathbeger could be in denial about having a problem with alcohol. A lot of alcoholics pretend that everything is all right when it really isn't. Many viewers also pointed out that before he met her, he was a practicing Mormon whose values included no drinking. Now, he has used his entire life savings to open up a bar because that was what Evelin wanted.
Needless to say, plenty of 90 Day Fiancé fans feel that Corey has been self-medicating to deal with a woman who doesn’t want him. They also called out Evelin for gaslighting Corey into thinking they had a future when she has been dating other men. Hopefully, if the reality star is struggling, he will be able to get some help and move on from his toxic relationship.
