Corey Rathgeber and Evelin Villegas have had an unconventional, but passionate relationship on and off of 90 Day Fiancé. Although the couple only made their reality television debut on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way within the past few years, Corey and Evelin's relationship has lasted for several years. Since their first time meeting to periods where fans believed Corey and Evelin were over for good, here is the comprehensive timeline of the 90 Day Fiancé couple.

Corey and Evelin met during a backpacking trip Corey took in the mid-2010s. One day on his Ecuadorian vacation, Corey went surfing and met his soon-to-be wife. From the beach, Evelin approached Corey and the two got to know each other in the tropical paradise. Eventually, Evelin invited Corey back to her hometown. Corey explained that he had feelings for Evelin immediately after meeting her. In 2014, Corey asked Evelin to be his girlfriend. From then, the couple has experienced a rocky road of breaking up and getting back together that continues to unfold after the events of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.

Corey and Evelin went on to have a long-distance on-and-off relationship while Corey lived in Washington and Evelin lived in Ecuador. During their period of dating from distant countries, Corey admitted to spending over $40,000 on Evelin and her family. Evelin clarified that Corey was investing his money in her cocktail bar, not just sending her money. To remedy their long-distance debacle, Evelin attempted to settle down with Corey in the United States. After six months on a vacation visa, Evelin decided she couldn't live away from Ecuador any longer. During their season on 90 Day Fiancé, Corey made the difficult decision to leave his home in Washington and move to Evelin's hometown in Ecuador.

While living in Ecuador, Corey and Evelin encountered one of the earliest threats to their relationship - Evelin's ex-boyfriend. Eventually, Corey broke up with Evelin amid cheating accusations. According to Evelin, she had spent time with her friend Raul and another man during a break in her relationship with Corey. After their breakup, Corey was spotted with former 90 Day Fiancé star Larissa Dos Santos Lima. Evelin was upset over Corey and Larissa's supposed date and felt betrayed by her on-again-off-again fiancé. Larissa eventually shared that her evening with Corey was nothing to be concerned about. Against all odds, Evelin and Corey were engaged by the end of their season on 90 Day Fiancé.

Corey and Evelin's relationship took another turn during the COVID pandemic. In March 2020, Evelin revealed on her Instagram that she and Corey were quarantined together, but only as friends. Evelin wrote, "We are friends and always will [be]." Corey and Evelin returned to reality television in 2020 on 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined. During this appearance, fans theorized that Corey cheated on Evelin. This conclusion was reached due to reports that Corey met with other women while arguing with Evelin. While their relationship appeared unsalvageable, Corey and Evelin are currently back on track. According to a recent post on Corey's Instagram, he and Evelin celebrated seven years together in May.

Corey and Evelin's relationship has had its fair share of ups and downs. From fatefully meeting during Corey's vacation to Ecuador to struggling to make their love last through a pandemic, Corey and Evelin have made overcome their adversity. As one of the most difficult 90 Day Fiancé couples to keep up with, hopefully, Corey and Evelin can take it easy on fans and maintain a steady relationship from here on out.
