After 90 Day: The Single Life season 1, an abusive call between Ed and Liz surfaced and fans were furious. Many viewers called for a boycott of Ed and are angry that TLC included Ed in The Single Life season 2 cast.

Steven was the most criticized new cast member on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, and viewers found his constant hypocrisy and cheating ways infuriating. His fiancé Alina was far more sympathetic to fans, and Steven was mercilessly slammed throughout the season. Steven’s bad behavior has continued off-screen, and he didn’t gain any sympathy after The Other Way Tell All, when the extent of his sexting behind Alina’s back was revealed. Most viewers hope Steven never returns to the franchise.

He’s been rightfully blacklisted by TLC and viewers, and now his fiancé from the show, Varya Malina, has been dragged into Geoffrey’s controversy and is criticized for staying with and supporting him.

Over the course of 90 Day Fiancé and Happily Ever After?, Yara’s likability with fans has gone up and down. Though she was initially criticized on the show, Yara started winning viewers over with her sassy attitude and obvious love for her daughter Mylah. However, Yara’s money-making ventures off-screen have garnered criticism. She’s been dragged for upselling the clothing she sells on her online retail store, and Yara’s new “Boujee” makeup line has been panned for false claims, quality issues, and plagiarism.

There were many 90 Day Fiancé stars who got criticism this year, but these were the cast members who fans feel crossed the line. Viewers have singled these stars as especially problematic, and for various reasons, they’re considered the worst of the worst. Needless to say, 2021 wasn’t a good year for these cast members.
