Newly married 90 Day Fiancé star Colt Johnson was praised by wife Vanessa Guerra for his post-weight loss look, but TLC viewers aren’t saying the same. Popular for his manipulative past on the reality TV show, Colt is now showing great progress since his 90 Day: The Single Life days, both in terms of health and relationships. After his violent marriage with Larissa Dos Santos Lima, and toxic romance with Jess Caroline, Colt finally admitted his feelings to Vanessa, to have a secret marriage. And while Vanessa may be the positive change that’s making Colt revamp his image, his makeover is getting a big “no” from 90 Day Fiancé fans.
While Colt was shown taking charge of his fitness during the start of his 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? stint itself, him cheating on Jess with multiple women became the trending topic on his season instead. Colt’s infamous Speedo scene with Jess at a Brazilian beach had fans make snide remarks on his body, which may have led him to focus on bettering himself. Fans slowly saw Colt looking different after shedding weight and trimming his hair during the lockdown, as he shocked them with rare Instagram appearances.
The new and improved Colt returned with 90 Day Fiancé spin-off The Single Life and admitted that he now goes to the gym every day. Colt had confessed that without having a set timeframe, he works out till he feels tired and is now focusing on gaining muscle and defining his body a little more. Perhaps it was having free time after losing his job during COVID-19 that helped Colt lose weight, and impress now-wife Vanessa to for her call him “sexy AF” while showering Instagram compliments. The 90 Day Fiancé star who’s supposedly lost over 40 pounds also had Vanessa enamored enough for her to ask fans to stop telling her to get Colt’s hair cut and beard shaved.
But despite Vanessa’s requests, fans are showing no mercy to Colt, even as the 90 Day Fiancé cast member is proudly flaunting his new look in mirror selfies, according to a post by the @90DayFiancéFanatics2 page. A TLC viewer commented, “It’s a no from me.” Another fan posted, “Hate to be negative but wtf.” A different person said that Colt was “a mess.” The 90 Day Fiancé star’s red shoes were also a matter of interest for some of the followers, as they mocked him by calling them “clown shoes” while asking him if he could ask someone to teach him “how to dress.”
While fans are not too impressed with Colt or his fresh new bearded face, there are rumors of him returning to 90 Day Fiancé again. Several TLC viewers think that with Colt now being married, he could be headed to 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 7. Single no more, Colt’s tryst with affairs may have hopefully come to an end, so wondering what Vanessa will have a problem with on a whole new season should keep fans invested.
