Many 90 Day Fiancé fans (and cast members) believe that Tim Malcolm is still in love with Veronica Rodriguez, and dreaming of being her romantic partner again. Tim (from Charlotte, NC), and his Colombian girlfriend Jeniffer Tarazona were perhaps one of the most talked about duos on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 3. The 25-year-old Jeniffer had a young daughter, Violeta, while Tim, then 38 years of age, was co-parenting Chloe, his ex-fiancee Veronica’s daughter, who recently turned 16.
Tim and Veronica met when Chloe was only one-and-a-half years old. Veronica ran into Tim at a bar after her divorce from her ex-husband, who is Chloe’s bio dad. The mother remained with Tim for almost seven years. The couple drifted apart romantically, but were still incredibly close, something that Jeniffer and TLC viewers found eyebrow-raising. Tim had even given Jeniffer a promise ring, which was actually the same piece of jewelry that he had bought for Veronica. She was the one who returned it to him, so Tim could give it to his new girlfriend. Jennifer and Tim broke up (as fans expected), and since he has much more chemistry with Veronica, the pair became regulars on Pillow Talk. Viewers kept nudging them to date all over again.
90 Day Fiancé Star Tim Has Not Moved On From Veronica
When 90 Day Fiancé "side cast member" Veronica became one of the main stars of 90 Day: The Single Life, and went on a date with Justin, Tim was in her house, making things awkward for the new couple. Justin wanted Veronica to distance herself from Tim, which she did. However, after she found out that Justin was a playboy, she went back to Tim.
Meanwhile, Tim’s jealousy over Jamal Menzies was evident when he was introduced as Veronica’s love interest at the 90 Day: The Single Life Tell-All. It looked like Tim cared about Veronica, and wanted Jamal to give her a commitment. However, in reality, Tim was coming across as a one-sided lover, who was watching his person slip out of his hands.
Debbie Johnson noticed that 90 Day Fiancé star Tim was trying to show Veronica his true feelings i.e. let her know that he was, “madly in love with her,” while being afraid to say it outright. Tim has spent almost 15 years with Veronica, first as a lover, and then as a friend. Now, he is being referred to as a, “sister with a penis” by the woman he once loved. Tim claims to have a girlfriend (a woman called Linda Ramirez), but he doesn’t follow her on Instagram, and she doesn’t follow him either. This makes some fans question the validity of this relationship. More than Veronica getting into a new relationship, it’s Veronica being hurt by Jamal’s casualness that’s worrying Tim, because he will be the one picking up the pieces if Jamal makes his exit.
However, it’s also possible that Tim and Veronica aren’t really as close as they seem on 90 Day Fiancé. Fans love watching their camaraderie on the spin-offs, so they could be playing up their, “exes turned best friends” game for the cameras, when the truth is that they are only cordial at best. It’s quite likely that Veronica never told Tim about her budding relationship with Jamal, which is why he was so upset during the Tell-All. However, Veronica and Tim have supposedly made a pact: if they're both not married by 50, they will tie the knot. It remains to be seen if Veronica becomes Mrs. Menzies in the future, or returns to 90 Day Fiancé star Tim, who may be hoping that she comes back.
