Here’s what 90 Day Fiancé fans know about Angela Deem and Michael’s relationship status after their controversial last breakup on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Angela, 56, and Michael, 32 have had one of the most memorable yet troubled relationships on the TLC show until now. They started dating after meeting on Facebook in 2018, and shortly after, had their in-person meeting when Angela went to Nigeria in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 2. Following this, Angela and Michael made appearances in B90 season 3, 90 Day Fiancé season 7 and season 5, and season 6 of HEA.
Apart from their age gap and cultural differences, the biggest fights between Angela and Michael happened because of their trust issues. Angela suspected Michael was cheating on her behind her back. Then, there was the problem with Angela being too old to give Michael a baby, which made his family encourage him to get a second wife. Regardless, Angela and Michael married in January 2020 in Lagos, shortly before the pandemic kept them apart for two years. During this time, Angela, who was waiting for Michael’s spousal visa to be approved, started working on her weight loss journey. Married life wasn’t blissful at all for Angela and Michael since they continued to fight on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? At one point, Angela considered hacking into Michael’s phone to track his location. She also met up with a divorce lawyer.
Their biggest face-off yet was waiting to happen, and when it did on the Tell-All in August 2021, Angela told Michael, “I’m done.” Angela expected Michael to support her when his Aunt Lydia called Angela out for getting weight loss surgery instead of trying to have a baby. Still, in her July 2021 appearance on 90 Day Bares All season 2, Angela admitted that she and Michael got back together after she flashed her breasts at the Tell-All cameras. When Angela was in Las Vegas for her birthday in December 2021, she bumped into a fan and gave another fresh update on her marriage with Michael. The Reddit user Mapleface92 informed 90 Day Fiancé viewers that “Her and Michael are still together and waiting on his visa.”
However, in February of this year, an unexpected source from 90 Day Fiancé itself, Usman Umar AKA Sojaboy claimed that Angela and Michael had split. Firstly, Michael fanned the breakup rumors by reactivating his Instagram account and “separating” from Angela’s @deemangela account. He appeared in photos with Usman while knowing that Angela and the Nigerian rapper were at loggerheads after their 90 Day Bares All season 1 episode. Back then, Angela had called Usman a scammer and claimed that it was because of him that people like Michael were not being given their American visas.
This time around, Usman accused Angela of being a "heartless woman" who had been scamming Michael since 2018, and using Michael to be on TV, while spending all of his money to get plastic surgery and to buy a house. It looked like Michael and Angela were done for good then. Soon enough, Michael’s newly activated IG profile was deleted. In true Meemaw fashion, Angela used Instagram in April to confirm that she and Michael were still together.
Angela has since admitted to still being in love with Michael. No one can take Michael’s place in Angela’s life, even though she sometimes flirts with her doctors. Angela and Michael have supposedly reunited in Nigeria since the Usman scandal. He could finally be on his way to the U.S. after getting his visa approval. A new chapter in Angela and Michael’s 90 Day Fiancé relationship is just getting started.
