The 90 Day Fiancé franchise may focus on romance, but that hasn’t stopped unexpected franchise friendships from forming. The hit TLC franchise has exploded since it first started featuring international partners marrying their American fiancé in the United States on a K-1 visa. Though many relationships have become beloved to franchise fans, many also support friendship duos that have formed over the years.

When it comes to new 90 Day Fiancé content, the franchise has leaned towards airing drama. Subsequently, many cast members have started drama and aired their rivalries on social media as feuds lead to increased exposure.

However, there is a softer side to many cast members that viewers don’t see enough of. Many friendships between couples and singles have formed over the years as franchise cast members meet up outside of the show.

Natalie Mordovtseva & Varya Malina

Varya Malina and Natalie Mordovtseva 90 Day Fiance

Natalie Mordovtseva and Varya Malina surprised franchise fans by meeting up at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in May. Both ladies found themselves in Florida at the same time and documented their meetup on social media. Ukrainian Natalie and Russian Varya appear to have a lot in common. Both women have had rocky relationships with American males that they may or may not still be seeing. Varya was recently photographed in Geoffrey Paschel’s kitchen, while Natalie is now rumored to have never divorced Mike Youngquist. Both Natalie and Varya have also been turning to cosmetic procedures to alter their appearance. Overall, their friendship was surprising but made sense to fans.

Paola Mayfield & Loren Goldstone

Paola Mayfield and Loren Goldstone first appeared in season 1 and season 3, respectively. The two women joined forces when they both moved on to 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Many weren’t surprised by Paola’s bad behavior during the Tell-All, but viewers were shocked when Loren teamed up with the Colombian bombshell. The two women attacked fellow cast member Anfisa Arkhipchenko, which earned them the title of mean girls. Paola and Loren appear to share more than a similarly catty attitude. Both women are regarded as polarizing cast members. However, they have both also defied their critics to have lasting franchise marriages and earn success from their appearances.

Juliana Custodio & Tania Maduro

Juliana Custodio and Tania Maduro both appeared in season 7, but viewers were surprised to discover the two women are couple friends along with their respective partners, Michael Jessen and Syngin Colchester. While Juliana is considered a franchise sweetheart, Tania has been blasted as a 90 Day Fiancé villain. Despite their perceived personality differences, the Brazilian model and the American have been photographed multiple times together out and about with each other and their husbands. The foursome spent the 2020 Super Bowl together and have met up multiple times in 2021, including a recent get-together in Ocean City, Maryland, last week.

Eric Nichols & Colt Johnson

Eric Nichols and Colt Johnson both have one major thing in common: a relationship with Larissa Lima. Colt memorably divorced the Brazilian bombshell following an explosive relationship, while Eric appears to still be seeing his on-again-off-again girlfriend as he helps her recover from her many cosmetic surgeries. However, things between Eric and Larissa have been tense during their frequent splits, which has led to them airing public drama. Eric shocked his followers by meeting up with Colt and his mother Debbie, who used to be enemies of Larissa, during one of his splits from the Brazilian mother. Eric and Colt were one duo that viewers did not expect to see team up, but Larissa appears to have since made amends with Colt and forgiven Eric for befriending her ex-husband.

Deavan Clegg & Tiffany Franco Smith

90 Day Fiance Tiffany Deavan

Deavan Clegg and Tiffany Franco Smith became fast friends after both women appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Deavan has opened up about the support she received from both Tiffany and fellow co-star Erika Nichols who she said helped her get through tough times. Viewers have noted many similarities between Deavan and Tiffany, as both women have bad reputations in the franchise. The American ladies both had children with foreign men who they barely knew and blame them for all of their issues and unhappiness. Deavan has had a messy split from her estranged husband Jihoon Lee, while Tiffany is currently experiencing plenty of tiresome relationship drama with her husband Ronald Smith.

Jovi Dufren & Andrew Kenton

Jovi Dufren and Andrew Kenton teamed up after both men received criticism for their season 8 appearances. Party boy Jovi was labeled immature, while viewers turned on vindictive Andrew following his public split from Amira Lollysa. Andrew went on a smear campaign against his ex that saw many viewers criticizing him. While audiences largely turned on Andrew, Jovi publicly defended him and blasted Amira. The two men were since pictured hanging out with each other multiple times. Andrew has also surprised franchise fans by apparently moving on with Big Ed Brown’s ex-girlfriend Liz for more unexpected cross-franchise relationship content.

Yara Zaya & Julia Trubkina

Yara Zaya and Julia Trubkina 90 Day Fiancé

Like Natalie and Varya, Yara Zaya and Julia Trubkina are a Ukrainian and Russian friendship duo. The season 8 cast members are a surprising choice of friends for viewers who don’t keep up with them on social media. Julia and Yara were very friendly to each other on social media while season 8 aired. However, they memorably clashed at the Tell-All when Julia denounced plastic surgery and Yara was applauded for defending it. It appears as though the friendship between the two women has survived the drama, as they have been photographed on a double date with their husbands. Julia and Yara have also not alluded to any further drama on social media and appear to still support each other as they air their relationships on season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?
