TLC's 90 Day Fiancé and its many spin-offs have introduced people from all around the world since it first aired in 2014. As American citizens tried their luck at love with foreigners, all kinds of scenarios ensued. Many met through dating apps but revealed their true colors as soon as they met in person.

Fans typically remember the dysfunctional and drama-fueled relationships best, but there have also been some bright exceptions to the rule. It's safe to say that those individuals who have been horrible to their partners would also make for lousy friends. Those who successfully embraced each other's culture and personalities, however, would probably know how to form meaningful relationships.

Befriend: Syngin

While many fans agree that Syngin doesn't make for the best partner in the world, it would be nice to be friends with him. Even though he's a bit directionless in life, he is definitely fun to be around.

Syngin is one of the most likable people in the entire 90 Day Fiancé history. He looks like the type of a friend who would always be willing to hang out, but he's not necessarily somebody that can be fully relied on.

Avoid: Jesse

Jesse Meester from 90 Day Fiance

Jesse was first introduced in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. He was dating Darcey, a woman nearly 20 years his senior who has two teenage daughters. While Darcey's relatable insecurity and kindness made her one of the most likable characters of the season, Jesse failed to charm the fans, even though he was arguably one of the most handsome bachelors on the show.

Jesse rarely showed any affection to his girlfriend. On the contrary, he was a master of gaslighting and passive-aggressive behavior. The arguments he had with Darcey are some of the most memorable in the entire show. He's probably no better when it comes to friendships, so it would be best to avoid him.

Befriend: Kirlyam

From the moment fans first met her in season 1 of 90 Day Fiancé, Kirlyam instantly stole their hearts. Not only was this Brazilian girl absolutely gorgeous, but she was also kind, patient, and understanding. Her relationship with Alan was authentic, nurturing, and calming, unlike certain others that were flying all kinds of red flags from the beginning.

Today, Kirlyam and Alan already have several children. They'd make for awesome dinner guests as they are polite, balanced, and undoubtedly have some great stories to tell.

Avoid: Leida

Leida Margherita 90 Day Fiancé

Leida joined the show in season 6 when she flew all the way from Indonesia to Wisconsin to be with Eric Rosenbrook after they met online. As soon as she met his family, problems ensued. Mark was paying for child support, which didn't sit well with Leida at all.

Additionally, she wanted him to kick his own teenage daughter out of his house, which just goes to show how uncaring and cruel Leida can be. While Mark is still with her to this day, it's safe to say that most people wouldn't want to live under the same roof as Leida.

Befriend: Zied

Rebecca Parrott and Zied Hakimi on 90 day fiance

Zied is one of the most laid-back people on the show, which is a personality trait a lot of people appreciate in a friend. Upon arriving in the States, he didn't exactly enjoy a warm welcome. Rebecca's family wasn't very nice to him, which made many fans feel sorry for him.

As was evident in a certain restaurant scene, Rebecca is also very jealous. She couldn't hide her insecurity when Zied was talking to an attractive younger woman, even though he wasn't hitting on her. It looked like Zied could do with a casual night out with his friends without his jealous wife making him feel uneasy. Many fans would volunteer as tribute!

Avoid: Anfisa

While a surprising amount of fans appreciates Anfisa Nava's brutal honesty, it's safe to say it would be best to not get too close to her. Even though Jorge had his shortcomings, no person deserves to be treated the way Anfisa treated him. She abused him, both physically and verbally.

Abusive people don't make for great friends. Sooner or later, conflicts arise in friendships, and Anfisa doesn't seem like the kind of person who could have an empathetic and constructive conversation with her friends.

Befriend: Avery

Avery Mills and Omar Albacore from 90 Day Fiancé

Avery and Omar from Syria joined 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in season 3. Fans agree that while they're both naive and too young to know what they really want, they make for a nice couple. While some struggled to bridge the cultural differences, Avery adapted to the Muslim culture almost seamlessly and has since successfully been breaking stereotypes about Muslim culture.

The couple currently lives in Dubai. Most fans agree that Avery would make for a nice friend, as would Omar. They are respectful and calm, so it's safe to say they'd treat their friends well, too.

Avoid: Angela

Angela Deem 90 Day Fiancé

Angela might be 54 years old, but she is one of the most immature people in the history of the show. She supposedly found a match in a Nigerian man, but she refused to learn about his culture. Not only that: she outright hated it and made no efforts to hide it.

Angela is unpleasant to everyone she interacts with on camera, and she's probably no different in real life. It would be best to avoid her as she is too unpredictable to make for a decent friend.

Befriend: Annie

Annie Suwan In 90 Day Fiance

Annie Suwan, the stereotypical Sagittarius, would make for a great friend. She's optimistic, laid-back, and really funny. And what's even more valuable: she is the kind of person who stands by her loved one's side through thick and thin.

When she first came to the States, she and her husband had to live in a shed, but she didn't let that get in the way of their relationship. If she's anything like that with her friends, anyone can be considered lucky to know her.

Avoid: Mark

Mark Shoemaker talking to the camera in 90 Day Fiancé

Mark was hands down one of the creepiest people on 90 Day Fiancé. Not only did he want to marry a Filipina teenager, but it was also revealed that his ex-wife was also from the Philippines.

Nikki and Mark were one of the strangest couples featured on the show, and while Nikki seemed like a really nice person, Mark made fans feel really uneasy.
