The 90 Day Fiancé franchise is a whole lot of fun and fans love commenting on what the cast members are wearing, especially when the reality stars are making big fashion blunders. Of course, epic fashion fails are dramatic, and drama is what the franchise is known for! While taste is definitely subjective, many of the outfits featured below are probably considered fashion errors by most people. From colorful leather to Daisy Dukes to one truly narcissistic leg tattoo, there is no shortage of fodder for amateur fashion critics.

The sprawling franchise has spanned a host of seasons across two platforms, and some of its stars appear to be frozen in time, fashion-wise. Dated fashion isn't unheard of in the 90 Day Fiancé realm, and either is fashion that's a little on the loud and tacky side. Reality TV and elegance do not always walk hand in hand. Even the Real Housewives sometimes go way over the top with their outfits, hair, and makeup. Dorit Kemsley's iconic Dior sun visor look is just one outrageous example.

Subtle, minimalist style has its appeal, but not in a milieu where romantic woes and other melodrama are routinely at center stage. The cast members featured today dress for themselves, and they should, even if their style gets dragged sometimes. While some would benefit from consulting with skilled stylists, most fans enjoy liking or loathing them, no matter what they wear.

David Murphey

David Murphey's romantic saga with the elusive Russian blonde Lana is the stuff of 90 Day Fiancé franchise legend, and his style is also getting noticed, but not for the right reasons. Known for big leather jackets, collared shirts in dubious hues (including mustard yellow and mint green), and the, um, exciting ombré look featured below, David may want to update his look. Above, we see the former reality star in a novelty baseball cap that might look better stashed in a closet or drawer. In David's defense, the "Mmmm..." cap was a gift.

Paola Mayfield

While posing with a mountain in the background, feisty, fit and driven franchise star Paola Mayfield gives off strong Harley Quinn vibes that don't quite mesh with the hilly terrain. In the black-and-white shirt shown above, she appears somewhat out of date. Black and white is classic, but the right half of the shirt is white, while the left half is black. This unique look isn't really that flattering. Russ Mayfield's wife rarely fails to take chances with fashion, and she has the innate confidence needed to rock almost any look. Nonetheless, this two-toned shirt isn't her finest fashion moment.

Below, Paola's fiery tresses are the focal point, but we can't help but notice her Daisy Dukes, completed with fraying hem. People were wearing these back in the '80s, and jean shorts had another moment when Jessica Simpson donned them for a 2005 Dukes of Hazzard reboot. Some of Paola's outfits look a little dated, but again, her confidence allows her to shine in slightly passé separates. The courageous reality star, whose debut wrestling match was the subject of mockery, wears what she pleases and does what she wants.

Angela Deem

Angela Deem lost over a hundred pounds, and her style evolved, but she's still into bold looks that mirror her over-the-top personality. Her colorful outfits sometimes veer into tacky territory, although she occasionally surprises with sleeker, more sophisticated outfits. In the photo shown above, she wears a Stars and Stripes leather jacket that calls to mind the Stars and Stripes bike shorts that Axl Rose of Guns 'N' Roses used to wear as stage gear.

Below, Angela looks electrified with a spiky 'do and an outfit with clashing patterns. The Easter egg hues of her lavender spots bra and boho kimono are shockingly at odds with her striped black and white leggings. Angie styles the look with a pair of sunnies in her hair and sells the look (and a weight loss product) with a great big smile. Like Paola, Angela has confidence and a lot of fans love her lust for life, even though others want her canceled.

Big Ed Brown

Last but not least, we have Big Ed, who makes sure that every pair of shorts looks even more dazzling by adding a huge tattoo of his own face to one leg. Ed gets trashed a lot, but he's also quite famous and he's even got his own line of clothing and accessories, called Big Ed Wear. Ed seems to get the joke when it comes to his image, and this tattoo may be playful, but it still has narcissistic vibes. Ed has been accused of putting himself first in the past, by mistreating women and doing whatever it takes to stay relevant.

Below, Ed goes for the pro heavyweight look in a "Title Boxing" muscle T that is eons away from his usual look. Does he pull it off? He has been working hard on his fitness lately, which is admirable, but this shirt may not be his best look. It just isn't him. He's known for his V-necked black t-shirts and the collared shirts he wears in TLC and Discover+ promos. This deviation from the look is fine for training, but might not be the best streetwear look for the controversial reality star.

People should wear exactly what they want to wear, and we're not saying otherwise. However, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise stars we've featured here today would probably look amazing if they got makeovers from Tan France from the Queer Eye Fab Five. Big Ed could use Tan's signature French Tuck to get a sleeker look, while Paola could don a cute little Tan-approved jacket over dark rinse jeans. Great stylists work wonders, but some fans might miss seeing 90 Day Fiancé franchise stars and alums in outfits that they've pulled together themselves. After all, fashion mistakes are just one more thing for franchise fans to talk about.
