The 90 Day Fiancé franchise has led to a surprising amount of lasting relationships. All of the original season 1 cast stayed together, as did a large number of couples in the following seasons. However, it has become clear that not everybody was on the show for the right reasons. While some relations appear genuine, a number of franchise stars have been accused of lying for fame.

The extended franchise has expanded greatly in the past seven years, which has led to some viewers believing the newer couples and plot lines lack some of the original authenticity. Fans have worried that the storylines are becoming too contrived as they miss more genuine couples. Several cast members have come across as particularly fake as people question why they are on the show in the first place. The following cast members have been accused of having their eyes on reality television fame rather than finding true romance.

Eric Nichols

Eric Nichols shot to moderate reality television fame after getting together with Larissa Lima following her divorce from Colt Johnson. Eric and Larissa’s relationship played out on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? before Larissa was fired for appearing in an online lingerie show. The couple has spent the last two years splitting up and getting back together in a fashion that gives fans whiplash. While their breakups are often messy, the couple reunites as though nothing was amiss.

Their strange behavior as well as the convenient way Eric is always back to help Larissa recover from plastic surgery has led to many fans believing the relationship is staged. Some viewers think Eric might even prefer men, though he hasn’t confirmed rumors about his sexuality. Though the couple appears to be living together in Colorado, many people think Larissa and Eric use each other for fame and aren’t in a real romantic relationship.

Stephanie Matto

Stephanie Stepanka Matto In 90 Day Fiance

Stephanie Matto made headlines for appearing alongside Erika Owens on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days. The relationship was historic because it marked the first same-sex partnership in the franchise. While both American Stephanie and Australian Erika said they were bisexual, viewers only believed the latter. While viewers connected with Erika and sympathized with her, many found Stephanie’s behavior to be bizarre and confusing.

The American was unable to come out to her family and unwilling to engage with Erika physically. Her cold, rude, and often nasty behavior led to viewers speculating that Stephanie was not attracted to Erika in the first place. Many people believe Stephanie feigned her bisexuality to get more social media followers and build her YouTube and Instagram accounts. It appears as though Stephanie has only dated men following her split, though she maintains that she is bisexual.

Amira Lollysa

Amira Lollysa-

Season 8 star Amira Lollysa is currently involved in a heated feud with Andrew Kenton. Her seemingly former fiancé alleges that the French woman was never truly interested in him and that she is instead playing up their relationship and her detention for fame and attention. Andrew’s claims have been supported by other franchise cast members, including fellow season 8 star Jovi Dufren.

While Amira was shown traumatized from her Mexico detention, Andrew claims she is misrepresenting reality and creating a sob story for attention and fame. Though the majority of viewers cannot stand Andrew, a number of fans have been questioning if Amira is indeed a liar. Andrew provided text message receipts to back up his claims that Amira was seemingly creating false drama for viewer sympathy. Many viewers have considered if his story is true, especially since they can't see what Amira finds attractive about the California man.
