The 90 Day Fiancé franchise has featured a number of beloved romances, but some cast members have been called out for their poor romantic decisions. The franchise has showcased a variety of mismatched couples who have large age gaps and/or cultural differences and/or questionable compatibility. Clearly, some seemingly dubious romantic choices have been made. Franchise fans definitely weigh in on these decisions.

Some of the most popular couples to have emerged over the years became well-liked for their genuine romances. Unfortunately, many of the genuine couples had less dramatic problems and did not continue on in the franchise. In turn, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise became filled with more theatrical and problematic couples. This has caused a number of the cast members' romantic choices to be questioned by fans. Even though some couples stayed together, viewers haven’t approved of all of the relationships and marriages featured in the franchise. In fact, some cast members have been put on blast.

Jess Caroline

Jess Caroline-90 Day Fiance- Happily Ever After-90 Day Fiance Diaries

Franchise fans were shocked when Jess Caroline fell in love with Colt Johnson on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? The ex-husband of Larissa Lima was blasted for being a mama’s boy who demonstrated inappropriately stoic responses during any drama. Jess and Colt’s relationship was quickly mocked among franchise fans, and many marveled over the fact that Colt (whom most find unappealing) had not only landed another Brazilian beauty but had cheated on her as well. Though Jess moved on and married Brian Hanvey, many franchise fans also disapprove of her new man. Fans believe that Brian gives off creepy vibes, just like Colt. They drag Brian a lot, commenting on the way his eyes look and his eerily calm voice. Many viewers think Jess should make better romantic choices.

David Murphey

David Murphey on 90 Day Fiance

David Murphey became a franchise laughing stock for his diehard pursuit of Ukrainian beauty Lana on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. The American man spent seven years and around $300,000 courting the blonde beauty. However, every time that David planned to meet up with Lana, the Ukrainian woman would back out at the last moment. Viewers were shocked to discover that Lana was exactly who she said she was after TLC helped the wealthy American to finally track Lana down. However, fans continued to make fun of David and insist that he should have let Lana be since she didn’t appear happy to be found. It didn't help that the two didn't end up dating once they met.

Rebecca Parrott

Zied Hakimi and Rebecca Parrott in 90 Day Fiance

Rebecca Parrott is known for her love of filters, though the grandmother has been open about her cosmetic procedures. The wife of Zied Hakimi is focused on attaining a youthful look after 50, likely because she pursues significantly younger men. While viewers enjoy Zied’s personality, Rebecca has been called out for marrying much younger men twice. Rebecca’s infamous ex-husband from Morocco, whom she has mentioned frequently, was believed to be only a teenager when he married her. She was in her mid-40s when they wed. The large age gaps between Rebecca and her two husbands made fans uncomfortable and earned her significant criticism.

Eric Rosenbrook

Eric Rosenbrook married franchise mega-villain Leida Margaretha Cohen on season 6, despite his Indonesian bride receiving overwhelming fan criticism for her treatment of Eric’s daughter, Tasha. Fans criticized Eric for siding with Leida when it came to her ongoing issues with his teenage daughter. Many viewers think that Eric committed an unforgivable act by siding with Leida when she kicked Tasha out of Eric’s home. Viewers have since dragged Eric for remaining married to Leida. Franchise fans find her dishonest and shady.

Molly Hopkins

Molly Hopkins is one female cast member whom fans drag due to her questionable relationships. However, viewers believe that the CEO of Livi Rae Lingerie is too good for the men she dates. Molly’s ex-husband Luis Mendez was memorably a nightmare of a partner. The couple divorced quickly after their many fights, which led to Luis rapidly remarrying. Many viewers concluded that he had used Molly to move to the USA. They slammed her for choosing the wrong partner. Some fans do approve of Molly’s current boyfriend Kelly, who appeared alongside her on 90 Day: The Single Life. However, many fans feel that the successful businesswoman could do much better, and they have urged Molly to raise her standards.

Stephanie Davison

Stephanie Davison presented an unstable image that some viewers thought was unethical to air on 90 Day Fiancé season 8. However, others had less sympathy for the American cougar as they found her taste in men abhorrent. They also didn't like how she treated her partners. Due to conflicts with then-partner Ryan Carr, the older American slept with his cousin Harris. Stephanie later tried to bring Harris to America on a K-1 fiancé visa instead of Ryan. This happened after she and Ryan split up. Stephanie’s decision to bounce from cousin to cousin did not sit well with fans. They didn't hesitate to call her out on her messy behavior.

Libby Potthast Castravet

Andrei Castravet Elizabeth Potthast 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After

Libby Potthast Castravet is currently causing drama with her family on Happily Ever After? Many viewers strongly dislike Libby and the Potthast family. However, Libby’s choice of husband is also called into question. Her husband Andrei can't seem to make peace with Libby’s siblings and has been accused of using her father Chuck for money. Many viewers think Andrei is a serial leech who has also been exposed for his shocking rudeness and vulgar language. Viewers have slammed Libby for always defending Andrei and enabling his bad behavior and entitled attitude. Fans consider the couple to be the lowest point of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6. Unfortunately, the couple might not disappear from the franchise anytime soon, if rumors of the Potthast family vying for their own spin-off show can be believed.
