90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is making way for more drama in the next episode when it comes to the newest pairing of Brittany and Yazan. Brittany’s secret marriage and Yazan’s family’s reluctance is all set to garner eyeballs for season 2 of the popular TLC reality show.

An aspiring rapper Brittany, who also works as a model and dapples into marketing, describes herself as a “seven-layer cake” and claims to have dated an 85-year-old in the past. Even though she’s been living "the high-life", this Palm Beach, Florida resident, 26 now wants to marry the love of her life and settle down with him – in Jordan. Brittany who got into her first relationship at the age of 17, has not particularly been lucky when it comes to love. But when she came across 24-year-old Yazan, it was love at first sight. She met him when she visited her family in Chicago, and Yazan's sister happened to live upstairs from her sister. One day, she came into the room when Yazan and his sister were video chatting, and the rest, as they say, is, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way history. However, apart from the fact that Yazan lives on the other side of the globe and even follows a completely different religion, Brittany has a secret of her own. She’d "forgotten" that she was married to her Haitian ex who she’d met when she was only 17.

A few days before her trip to Jordan, where she planned on settling down with Yazan, Brittany spoke to the lawyer about the divorce process. But as the 90 Day Fiancé reality star harbours dreams of saying a final goodbye to her tumultuous old relationship, Yazan has problems of his own. The mechanical engineer who practices Islam is a momma’s boy and has a thoroughly traditional family who wants to see him settle down with a local girl. He himself wants his partner to live a simple life and stay at home to run the family.

Britanny and Yazan 90 Day Fiance The Other Way

Monday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other saw Yazan speak about how he’s nervous as he waits for Brittany to arrive. This is due to the fact that she was dressed inappropriately the first time she was in Jordan, which is also when the couple got engaged. On marriage, Brittany would have to dress traditionally in a hijab and abaya which adds to Yazan’s concerns. His heart-to-heart conversation with brother, Obaida at their family-run seafood mart did little to pacify him as they further spoke about his family wants him to marry an Arabic, Muslim woman who would be “one of his own.” Yazan’s family’s idea for his wife is someone who’d preferably be a relative as even his parents are related to each other. Meanwhile, Brittany, while nervously packing her luggage, chugged a bottle of wine which clearly goes against the cultural values of Yazan. A family problem is very much on the horizon for the coupling as Brittany’s meet-the-parents session draws near.

It would be interesting to see if Brittany changes her ways, forgets about her rap aspirations, and accepts Yazan’s culture and costume for the sake of love. As she herself lives on with the secret marriage that could tear apart her new relationship, the move to Jordan seems to be an unfit decision at present. While she seems to understand her father’s concerns about safety and the cultural shift in Jordan, they do little to change her resolve. The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way teaser for next week shows the couple get into a serious quarrel. But, if it’s Brittany’s previous marriage or her not agreeing to become a Muslim, is what fans will keep on speculating until the episode 4 airs.
