Brandon Gibbs is receiving a lot of backlash from fans of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? who think that he could've done much more to help Julia Trubkina and her aspirations instead of shutting them down. In a recent episode of Happily Ever After, Brandon and Julia discussed their future aspirations. Julia said that she wants to move to a big city like Las Vegas, but the couple agreed instead to find a place near Richmond for the time being. Brandon said that they could move there after Julia has a job.

As an up-and-coming fitness trainer, Julia is eager to start working in the US as soon as she has the proper documentation. She told Brandon that she has a degree in design, so she would probably try working with a wedding planning company. However, Brandon told her that she wouldn't be able to get her dream job with the English skills she currently has. He said Julia has great English for someone who doesn't live in the United States, but since she can't write or read English, it could limit the kinds of jobs that she could apply for. Unintentionally or not, he doubted Julia's aspirations and called her unrealistic for having big dreams.

Specifically, Brandon Gibbs told Julia Trubkina not to "destroy" someone's wedding instead of being a supportive husband. Many Happily Ever After? fans didn't like the way he questioned Julia's abilities and handled the situation overall. A fan said (via Reddit), "Is he for real???" Another fan called Brandon an "evil little man" and said that he's terrified to leave the farm because he is a 28-year-old man who never lived away from his parents. Another commenter said that it was scary for Brandon to see that his wife has ambitions, as she could potentially make more money than him in the future.

Some other fans called Brandon "terrible and a massive j*rk," commenting that he is trying to shoot down Julia's confidence by telling her that her English isn't good enough. On the other hand, certain viewers felt that it wasn't Brandon's fault, as this notion probably came from his upbringing with his parents Ron and Betty Gibbs. Brandon was never allowed to be confident and independent, as his parents probably put lots of doubts in his head.

Still, some of Brandon's loyal fans made an excellent argument. They said that Julia isn't fluent in English and would indeed need to join a school in order to study the language. A 90 Day Fiance fan who claimed to be a wedding planner said that a designer's job includes a lot of reading of legal contracts on a daily basis. Such agreements are already quite difficult for a native speaker to understand, so Julia would have to work a little harder. Now, some fans are wondering if it is Julia's turn to ask Brandon to learn Rusian in the next episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?.
