It’s not uncommon for the stars of 90 Day Fiancé to have a glow-up after gaining popularity on the show. For some it’s significant and stunning weight loss; for others, it’s all about the hair. Season 8 star Andrew Kenton recently shared his new ‘do with his Instagram followers, but he was a little too into himself for fans’ liking. Some followers loved the new look, while others were quick to serve him a slice of humble pie.

It didn’t take long after Andrew was introduced in season 8 that fans started to turn on him. Viewers were critical of his plan to bring his French fiancé Amira to the U.S. by way of Mexico to get around COVID-19 travel restrictions. But Amira ended up stuck in detention for three agonizing days, and fans were livid that Andrew continued on with his Mexican vacation in spite of the trauma his fiancé went through. So while Andrew does have some fans on his side, most of his social media posts are met with a healthy dose of criticism.

Andrew is trying to get away from his Simpson’s comic book guy comparisons, it seems, as he recently posted a selfie showing off his long, flowing, Jesus-esque locks. He revealed in the comments that he has gotten highlights to spruce up his look, and captioned the photo, “hair goals.” But fans were quick to call him out for the humblebrag. “You can't proclaim yourself as hair goals someone else has to say it,” one fan informed him. Andrew clearly agreed with the fan’s assertion, because he quickly changed the caption to the more appropriate, “what are your hair goals?

There were many fans who love his new look, “long hair is suitable for you,” one commented. But for every compliment, there were several more critiques. “Your hair needs deep conditioning,” another fan said, while other like-minded commenters gave product suggestions for damaged hair. One fan felt Andrew was giving him Colt Johnson vibes, which is a bit of a stretch considering how much longer Andrew’s hair is than his fellow 90 Day Fiancé alum Colt.

Fans have called out Andrew’s treatment of Amira as uncaring and selfish, so posting a picture with a self-centered caption isn’t the best look for him right now. The 90 Day Fiancé star may not have gotten the response he’d hoped for, but at least Andrew had enough sense to follow fans’ advice and change his photo caption to something a little less conceited. Now, maybe, he’ll take their advice on hair conditioner as well.
