Even though Big Ed Brown is dating Liz now, 90 Day Fiancé fans think he’s still not over Rose Vega thanks to a throwback video he posted on Instagram. At 54, Ed and his ex-girlfriend, Rosemarie, 23, were the highlight of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season four. While Ed’s lies about not wanting to have kids and his height were major red flags, so was his humiliating behavior towards Filipina Rose. But while the single mother is now living her best life and launching a modeling career after her makeover, Ed is making merry with a younger girlfriend on 90 Day: The Single Life. However, has Big Ed been unable to move on from Rose?
San Diego man Big Ed was met with great backlash from fans during his 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days stint for his harsh judgment of Rose. Not only did he accuse Rose of having bad breath, but also asked her to get an STD test and shave her legs in exchange for a kiss. Although many suspected Rose was after Big Ed for money and a visa, she promptly walked out of the relationship upon learning of his intention to not have kids. A hurt and upset Rose has since mentioned plenty of times how Big Ed would “always be a liar.”
Despite being with new girlfriend Liz, Big Ed hasn't stopped sharing memories with his ex online. The Cameo king posted not one, but two videos of his memories from filming his 90 Day Fiancé season with Rose. “2 years ago bought a ticket to follow a dream…!” was Big Ed’s caption for one, while the other one saw him write, “Part 2 bought a ticket to the Philippines 2 years ago.!” Funnily enough, Big Ed also used Rose’s name in his hashtags, “#rosemarievega,” and “#rosevega90dayFiancé” for the videos showing behind the scenes footage of him filming 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. The slideshow-like videos reposted by Big Ed from his TikTok also had plenty of personal selfies and photos he clicked in the Philippines while meeting Rose.
Fans in Big Ed’s comments were left questioning his motives, as most concluded the 90 Day Fiancé cast member was using Rose’s name for clout. “You looked down upon that young girl on national TV and she is doing extremely well without you even built her own house,” wrote an upset 90 Day Fiancé fan before adding, “while you went there thinking you are her savior.” A different fan rolled their eyes while commenting, “Wow, I’m sure your new girlfriend loves seeing this." Responses such as, “Again xd? I thought you moved on from Rose,” and “leave her alone” also showed up on Big Ed’s posts.
While she was living under harsh conditions on the spin-off, Rose has managed to use her power as an influencer and the rare quality of being a well-liked 90 Day Fiancé star to improve her lifestyle. Although details of Rose’s dating life are not known, she has moved on and is often spotted giving wise advice about staying humble in spite of seeing overnight success. That doesn’t seem to be the case for Big Ed, however. Although he claims to have moved on after having “done it wrong” for the past 28 years, Big Ed is still moping around while dating another girl who’s much younger than him on 90 Day Fiancé.
