Currently, 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days is following around a whole new group of Americans who are hoping to find their true love abroad. Big Ed was at first an easy fan favorite but due to his awkwardness, he has now become one of the most unliked. Many are questioning the motives of his girlfriend, Rosemarie. At only 4-foot-9, the newest reality star decided to rejoin the dating world after almost 30 years of being single. In a recent episode, their relationship took a turn for the worst when Big Ed asked Rosemarie to take an STD test, setting the young mother off.
Fans were left uncomfortable as they watched a clip of Big Ed deciding to pamper his Filipino love interest, Rosemarie. After their huge blow out over an STD test, the San Diego native felt that he wanted to do something nice for her after he stressed her out. Fans first did not like his approach to demanding she take a test for not revealing her past and then found a bigger problem in the fact that he would not commit to taking a test until he got back to the United States, essentially implying that he was afraid he would contract a disease while in the Philippines. The new cringe-worthy scene shows Rosemarie wearing pink lingerie and Big Ed trying to massage her feet. The reality star made a point to say that he was looking at her feet and nowhere else which automatically made viewers feel as if he was undressing her with his eyes. TLC fans tried to defend Big Ed by saying he was uncomfortable when it came to making the first move. The 54-year-old also seemed to be begging for attention and the reciprocation of love by asking Rosemarie over and over again if she was attracted to him. The scene got even more awkward when Big Ed asked Rose how to say "kiss" in Filipino, in which she replied, "halik." Then things got more cringey (and creepy) when Ed asked Rose, "May I halik you?"
Fans were already alarmed at the couple's age difference as it looks as if Big Ed could be her father. The young mom was open to the cameras in saying that she wanted to make a better life for her and her son as she currently lives in squalor. Fans are just hoping that she knows exactly what she is getting herself into as it seems very likely Big Ed would be happy enough to take her back to America with him to be his bride, but it almost seems unfair to do that to Rose based on how uncomfortable she feels around him.
