The 57-year-old Ed started dating 30-year-old Liz on 90 Day: The Single Life after his failed relationship with Rose Vega on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Big Ed broke up with Liz eight times before finally getting engaged, which makes fans question why she bothers going back to him.
Now, Big Ed wants to control how Liz makes a living as well. In 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 7, which is documenting their relationship ahead of Big Ed and Liz getting married, he admitted her going back to work as a restaurant manager scared him. Big Ed claimed it had led to their breakups in the past, and didn’t feel okay with her working at 1 am, even though it’s a restaurant. And Liz being offered a partnership in Encontro by her chef and boss Jason, further aggravated him. According to him, they are “young adult kids” who only want to make money so that they could spend it on partying and drinking. But Liz has always had big plans when it comes to her work.
Big Ed may not be thrilled about Liz going back to work, and has given her rules to follow regarding the hours and days she can work on, but Liz's efforts have been noticed by her supervisors. Liz’s chef Jason is an amazing boss to her, he’s always been accommodating with 90 Day Fiancé star Liz’s schedule with her daughter, and has also allowed her to get her daughter to work. The job was supposed to be only for six months, but now, Jason has asked Liz to become part-owner of Encontro, which is a big deal for her.
Fans think Liz should just take up the offer and run away from Big Ed and his toxicity. If she fears being homeless, she could very well be able to find good accommodation with her new promotion in San Diego itself. Liz had goals that she wants to meet for herself and her daughter, and perhaps sees Big Ed as a better and more stable option rather than toiling hard at the restaurant.
