Big Ed and Rose split during their season, which resulted in him dating Liz Woods in 90 Day: The Single Life season 1. Fans who have come to dislike Big Ed because of his on-screen antics still think that he and Liz are not a real couple.

In fact, Big Ed and Liz went on a date night ahead of his secret surgery. The San Diego man initially didn’t reveal what issue he was being operated for. Big Ed’s height and his Klippel-Feil syndrome, which is a rare bone disorder caused by the abnormal fusion of two or more bones in the neck, have resulted in him being bullied all his life, and some wondered if the surgery was connected to that. Now that Big Ed’s surgery has been delayed, he and Liz have taken off to Palm Springs. He plans to be in the pool with Liz and drink some vodka with ice. The news came as a surprise to Big Ed’s well-wishers since the rotator cuff repair is considered a major surgery that is painful. Why exactly the reality TV star is getting it is not known. But it could be that Big Ed has a torn tendon in his shoulder.
