Rose dumped Big Ed for his lies and insults, so he moved on with another younger woman, Liz Woods in 90 Day: The Single Life, and they are now engaged. As rumors about Big Ed and Liz getting married in August emerge, fans are curious about Big Ed’s ex-wife.
San Diego man Big Ed was 54 years old during his first 90 Day Fiancé spin-off, where he mentioned that his track record with relationships wasn’t very good. According to Big Ed, he was married for two years and it didn’t work out. The reason behind Big Ed’s failed marriage was him being unfaithful, which he now calls a “stupid mistake.” Big Ed and his ex-wife had a daughter together called Tiffany, 29, who he claims is “just like her father” and that they are “two peas in a pod.” It was due to his daughter being his “life” that Big Ed didn’t get into another relationship after his divorce. Because he waited to date so long, Big Ed was sure he wasn’t going to find love but “everything changed” when he met 23-year-old Rose from the Philippines on social media and sent her a friend request.
According to InTouch, Big Ed was previously married to a woman named Sandra “Sandy” Heckman. Big Ed and Sandy were divorced in January 1992. However, they continued to co-parent Tiffany after their split. Norma Brown, Big Ed’s mom who often shows up during his 90 Day Fiancé segments, also helped the single father to raise his daughter. Sandy is now married to Bruce Heckman and lives in Las Vegas.
According to Sandy’s LinkedIn, she’s been working since 2018 as a home services specialist / personal assistant for a company that provides executive services. Previously, Sandy studied at Middleborough High School in Massachusetts. During his 90 Day: The Single Life appearance, Big Ed admitted that he was a late bloomer when it comes to dating and never really had a “serious girlfriend” before Sandy. “She was my first love, my first everything,” Big Ed said. “It was a one-night entanglement, and that breakup almost destroyed me,” he’d said while shedding light on his infidelity which caused Sandy to fall out of love with him.
Big Ed revealed during an interview with Screen Rant in March 2021 that he only dates young girls as he isn’t looking forward to getting older. He was married at 24, so Big Ed wants to make up for the lost time. The 90 Day Fiancé celeb likes younger women because he is apparently “trying to capture” the things he’s missed out on and wants those years back. With Big Ed and Liz supposedly filming a new spin-off, one may discover more about his behavior. For now, however, Big Ed seems happy with Liz despite his scandalous reputation.
