90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days cast member Ben Rathbun narrates a peculiar story about a “Runaway Train” for his girlfriend Mahogany Roca which creeps viewers out. 52-year-old Ben has already been stood up twice after he decided to go to Mahogany’s town San Bartolo to see her face to face. Not only did Ben have the wrong address to Mahogany’s house, but she also ghosted him. While it's looking more likely Mahogany is a catfish at this point, Ben is too emotionally involved in God’s plan for them to get married. Ben’s friends and family already warned him about Mahogany using filters and asking Ben for $1000 without even taking a video call. He said he feels betrayed, angry, sad, and "very, very discouraged."

Seated in his happy place, the gym, a distressed Ben read out a little story he sent to Mahogany. Ben’s short story was about a train’s brakes failing and its passengers panicking. He focused on a gentleman in a black suit and a woman in red heels. Ben imagined himself and Mahogany as the couple. He said the gentleman, “slowly smiled and stood reaching his hand out to her, and whispered in her ear, ‘vamos a bailar.’” As the couple danced, the old train came off the wheels and settled back on the track. Ben concluded, “Baby, my beautiful Mahogany, the train is already going too fast to stop, let’s just dance."

Ben’s story session hit 90 Day Fiancé viewers out of the blue, and not in a good way. Some tried to make sense of what exactly Ben was trying to communicate to Mahogany and if it was a puzzle of some kind. “The trauma that I just experienced from hearing Ben’s train wreck story cannot be undone,” posted Twitter user SpenceOnDuty. “Not even 24 hours and I still can’t stop thinking about Ben’s wild runaway train story that he wrote to Mahogany while in the gym on #90DayFiancé. truly a landmark moment in the series,” shared howveryheather.

90 Day Fiance Before the 90 Days Season 5 Ben Rathbun

TLC viewers joked that Ben should have hopped on the train and left Peru once and for all when Mahogany refused to show up at the airport. However, some concluded his story was actually ironic as Ben's romance with Mahogany is an absolute train wreck. “Am I the only one who found Ben’s little story about the train to be threatening and stalker level creepy?” asked Tracy_McMorgan.

Oddly, Ben has been coming across as creepy to viewers long before his train story on 90 Day Fiancé. In fact, some thought Ben was a serial killer, prompting him to give eight reasons why he's not. Ben’s quest to meet Mahogany, a woman he dated for three months, has so far been a huge disaster. He waited for 45 minutes in a restaurant after which Ben wondered if he could end up looking like a fool to his loved ones who may be right about Mahogany being a catfish. Additionally, Mahogany was very much online when Ben showed his "Runaway Train" text to her to the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days producers. It's high time for Ben to realize he’s been a passenger on the wrong train for the entire season.
