Tyray had asked Carmella to video chat with him, but she didn’t say anything. He took it as a no, considering she might've been uncomfortable doing it. “Carmella is my girlfriend right now but hopefully soon my wife,” Tyray said, who’s even looked at rings and wants to get engaged once he goes to Barbados. However, at the end of the episode, text on the screen for Tyray's segment read, “During production, the producers uncovered some information about Tyray's girlfriend Carmella that he was unaware of.” A producer told Tyray that the person he’s been messaging with isn't the same woman in the pictures and videos.
“There’s a lot that we don’t know,” they added. After the producers took Carmella's number from Tyray, they took a long time to make contact after reaching out. The person admitted they weren't who they’d been telling Tyray they are. “So the person you’ve been messaging with is a man,” the producer said, while telling him they were sorry. They informed Tyray that he could choose to stop filming, or stop them from using any footage after knowing this information. It appears that Tyray does keep filming, because in the trailer, a lady who’s probably his friend or sister tells Tyray that they found Carmella's photos on an escort page.
