On 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5, franchise fans were excited to meet the seven new featured couples, but a number of the cast members are now regarded as 90 Day Fiancé franchise villains. After 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3 introduced only two new couples to the franchise, viewers were eager to get to know the fresh faces. However, many Before the 90 Days cast members are now being bashed by viewers, though a select few are being regarded as new fan-favorites.
90 Day Fiancé fans are often vocal about which cast members they support and who they are against. While onscreen actions often determine which cast members will become beloved or disliked, social media also plays a role in shaping the way that cast members are perceived. Kimberly Menzies had a messy season with Usman “Sojaboy” Umar, although she has taken responsibility for her online behavior. Meanwhile, other cast members were canceled by viewers after their offensive social media antics were uncovered.
Newcomer Ximena Morales Cuellar is currently very polarizing among viewers, as some fans brand her a user and others appreciate her hustle. Meanwhile, Mahogany Roca is being ridiculed for being a fraud, although she hasn’t offended viewers enough to be a villain. American Caleb Greenwood also managed to redeem himself to a significant degree after a bumpy start to his season, as he ended up being surprisingly honest and mature. However, the many stray cats shown in background scenes ended up earning more praise than a number of the main cast members this season.
Gino Palazzolo (Villain)
American Gino Palazzolo rapidly became a 90 Day Fiancé franchise villain following his betrayal of Jasmine Pineda. Gino was revealed to have sent Jasmine's naked photos to his ex-sugar baby in an attempt to make the woman jealous. Gino then proceeded to gaslight Jasmine by trying to deny that he sent the pictures, and downplayed the fact that she was topless in them. Gino's actions and creepy persona infuriated many viewers.
Jasmine Pineda (Hero)
On the other hand, B90's Gino’s partner Jasmine's receiving a warm reception from fans. Jasmine is far from perfect and clearly has some difficulty controlling her emotions and choosing suitable romantic partners. However, Jasmine made a now-iconic franchise speech when she berated Gino after discovering that he had betrayed her. She is also a franchise cast member who owned up to her bad behavior. Jasmine appears to be genuinely remorseful on social media. Many viewers are now rallying around her, even though she took Gino back.
Alina Kozhevnikova (Villain)
Alina Kozhevnikova took a fast 180 with fans, as she and her friend Elijah started the season with the full support of viewers. Fans initially loved their dynamic before realizing that Elijah was meddling and Alina was using him to pressure Caleb into being intimate with her. However, B90's Alina was officially canceled by fans and fired from the show after past racist posts of hers resurfaced. Alina first tried to deny that the posts were hers by claiming one was photoshopped, and this response further angered many viewers.
Ella Johnson (Villain)
American Ella Johnson is another season 5 woman who has angered viewers. Ella’s relationship with Johnny has hardly been featured since he is remaining in China due to concerns about the pandemic. Ella displayed shocking insensitivity when she ordered Johnny to see her. She has since revealed that she cheated on him since he was putting his family duties and health above traveling during the pandemic. Ella has been accused of fetishizing Asian men and being entirely self-involved (to a shocking degree). Some fans think that she lacks maturity in light of the fact that she is approaching 30.
Johnny & Stony (Heroes)
On the other hand, B90's Johnny is the least problematic season 5 cast member. The Chinese father might not have been featured a lot, but he proved himself to be kind, loyal, and earnest. Johnny wants to help Ella lose weight in a healthy way to improve her well-being. He also shows commitment to his family duties and prioritizes caring for his son and parents above his own desires. When he appeared alongside his father, Johnny’s adorable son Stony quickly became beloved by viewers.
Memphis Sandoval (Villain)
Memphis Sandoval has made it clear that she regrets joining the franchise. She has received a bad reception from viewers so far, due to her questionable choices and bossy behavior. Also, viewers don't like the way that she is pressuring Moknii Hamza to marry her. Memphis appears to be a very bad decision-maker, as she is trying to rush into marriage with Hamza, despite lies and deception on both sides and major communication issues. Many viewers are annoyed with Memphis and her antics, especially since she presented Hamza with an ultimatum to marry her immediately or be dumped.
Moknii Hamza & Family (Heroes)
On the other hand, many viewers are fond of Hamza and his family. His sister and mother were both regarded as breaths of fresh air, as the women were kind and welcoming to Memphis, despite her attitude. Hamza might not be perfect and did lie about his age, but viewers find him to be kindhearted and likable. Many viewers want to see Hamza follow his intuition and avoid rushing into a hasty marriage with controlling Memphis. Fans also love segments that feature his sweet mother and sister and their cat.
Ben Rathbun (Villain)
Hamza might be endearing to viewers, but American Ben Rathbun is the total opposite. Ben entered the season late but he has made a big impact for the wrong reasons. The former pastor uses his faith to justify pursuing a woman less than half of his age, who is the age of his daughter. Many viewers find Ben to be overwhelmingly creepy, and he has been slammed for using his religion to justify seeking out significantly younger partners.
The Translator (Hero)
Memphis and Hamza's segments have introduced another iconic translator to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Viewers immediately voiced their approval of the couple's Tunisian translator due to the colorful way the man translated for the couple, complete with shrugs and plenty of facial expressions. 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days viewers are now considering the translator a fan-favorite addition to the franchise.
