Former 90 Day Fiancé star Asuelu Pulaa made a heartbreaking confession after revealing he and Kalani Faagata are not together anymore. Asuelu met his wife Utah-based wife Kalani when she was on a vacation in Samoa. Activities director Asuelu fell for Kalani while she stayed at the resort he worked at and one thing led to another. Kalani lost her virginity to Asuelu and realized she was pregnant. Kalani gave birth to their first son Oliver without Asuelu by her side. When the baby turned two months old, she returned to Samoa again to so Asuelu could meet Oliver, and that’s when they agreed to file for his K-1 visa.
Kalani’s family remained opposed to her relationship with Asuelu, mainly owing to their age difference and questions about how he would adjust to life in the U.S. But upon his arrival, Asuelu became a family man with ease, and soon enough became a dad all over again because Kalani became pregnant with their second baby. Kalani and Asuelu got married in September 2018, and by May 2019 they welcomed baby son Kennedy. However, Asuelu soon started getting slammed by Kalani and fans for acting childish and not helping with the kids.
During 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Asuelu shockingly expressed a desire to have another baby. Asuelu’s statement about growing his family had come amid him and Kalani going through financial struggles. While fans didn’t hear news about Kalani and Asuelu getting pregnant again, in June, he did announce something that many had already predicted. The 90 Day Fiancé star claimed he was “single” in an Instagram video and now, Asuelu shared a new post which is captioned, “I’m not a good father.” The Samoan man did confess that he is trying his best to be a good dad, but at the same time he admitted to going through “#emotionaldamage.”
Asuelu added various clips of himself with sons Oliver and Kennedy in the video for which he used the song, “Dance With My Father” by Luther Vandross, which contains lyrics asking for “another chance.” Strangely, Asuelu didn’t include anything about Kalani in the video. Asuelu’s supporters reached out to him to assure him that he is a “good dad.” They feel that 90 Day Fiancé celeb Asuelu is at least trying and that a “lot of men have run from their kids.” They think Asuelu shouldn’t talk down to himself and should instead keep learning from his mistakes to become a better parent.
Earlier this month, Asuelu told his Instagram family that Kalani now is different from how she used to be, despite him providing everything that he can for her and the boys. Asuelu wanted to tell more to his fans but hinted at his 90 Day Fiancé contract stopping him from doing so. Kalani has apparently stopped communicating with Asuelu, but fans do hope that the couple works things out and stays together. There’s been no news of an official divorce between Kalani and Asuelu as of now, making some 90 Day Fiancé viewers suspect of their breakup was made up for attention and to stay relevant amongst other dramatic couples.
