90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? fans ans are wondering if it is selfish for Asuelu Pulaa to take his family to Samoa amid a measles outbreak. Even though Asuleu is homesick he needs to make sure he is putting his children’s health first.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After viewers are confused about why new father, Asuelu, is not helping raise his children, making Kalani take over. Asuelu and Kalani Faagata are back and having a rough time with their two little boys under the age of 2. Asuelu is not used to the American way where the man pitches in for the child-rearing. He believes that if he continues to work at his frozen yogurt job, he is doing his part to take care of his family.

During Sunday’s all-new episode, Asuelu and Kalani decide to have a private date night to get their relationship back on track. The Samoan is very open with his feelings, while he tells his wife he is homesick. The couple makes a temporary plan to visit his home country even though they are not financially prepared. But on his next break from work Asuelu speaks with his sister who informs him of a measles outbreak in Samoa.

TLC fans are immediately put on high alert since the couple has two small boys. It does not help that viewers have been living through their own pandemic thanks to the coronavirus. Kalani brings up a good point that their youngest son, Kennedy, has not yet been vaccinated. He is only seven months old. But Asuelu pushes still for the trip. Many viewers found him to be acting selfishly. The reality star seemed comfortable putting his children in danger just to see his family rather than waiting a few months. During the pandemic, there were over 200,000 cases that led to 83 deaths, mainly in children. The country was put into a six-week state of emergency. The country also had a low vaccination rate which contributed to the spread.

Fans of the popular show are routing for the South Pacific couple. Both Asuleu and Kalani come across genuine. Even though fan's hearts broke for Asuelu as he tried to explain why he needed volleyball since it is a huge part of his American life, many believe he does need to find a balance because he is not living in his home country and in Utah it is expected that he helps equally with the children. Hopefully, his pilgrimage home will give him the wake-up call he needs.
