It took some time for Asuelu’s K1-visa to be approved, and once he came to the U.S., his son Oliver was several months old and Kalani’s sister Kolini was skeptical of Asuelu’s parenting abilities. Fans often bashed Kolini for interfering in her sister’s marriage, but she’s gotten better over time. Asuelu showed off his Samoan dancing skills and Kalani and Kolini had attitude to spare. The group looks like they’re having a great time and were laughing together at the end of the video as Kalani and Asuelu’s son plays in the foreground.
Though the three are having fun in the video, it’s no secret that Kalani and Asuelu have been struggling in their marriage. Some fans have even wondered if Kalani and Asuelu are still together, but the dancing video proves that they are. The clip also seems to indicate that Kolini is warming up to Asuelu, to the point where she can leave her grudges behind her and move forward. Kolini was highly critical and distrustful of Asuelu when he first arrived stateside, but their recent dance collaboration shows how much that relationship has improved.
Kalani and Asuelu often bring the drama on 90 Day Fiancé, however, in real life, the couple seems to have a lot of fun in their marriage. Kolini especially has grown to trust Asuelu and treat him more like a family member than an adversary. With a supportive family behind her, Kalani has an even better shot at making her marriage to Asuelu last.
