The holistic Australian decided it was time to set the record straight, as he realized that the bullies who were mocking his eyes weren't aware of his disorder that could cause facial abnormalities.
Avery and Ash are two of the newest members to star on the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Avery currently lives in Seattle with her two daughters from two different relationships and enjoys infusing her food with cannabis. Ash works as a relationship therapist in Melbourne, Australia. The two met after Ash commented on one of Avery’s Instagram pictures and he messaged her. The couple's relationship is currently being featured on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, wher Avery is currently in Melbourne to see if their long-distance relationship could work as both have children to take into consideration. As the show continues to air new episodes, fans are hoping to see a more carefree side of Ash who takes his routine very seriously.
Since airing their love story, Ash has been getting slammed by the internet trolls about how his eyes seem to bulge out. Bullies everywhere have been relentless at insulting the way he looks, while the reality star has remained silent on the matter. Everything changed when Ash decided to speak out on March 24th via his Instagram. Ash decided to use his platform to educate his followers on his condition, by posting about his medical diagnosis that he has been living with since the age of 21. He revealed to his followers that he has been battling with Hyperactive Thyroid which is when a person’s glands produce too much of the hormone thyroxine. Side effects of this disease can be weight loss or an irregular heartbeat, and upon further investigation, it can cause the sufferer's eye to appear bulged out. The TLC personality also shared that he had recently been diagnosed with Graves' disease after he consulted with a naturopath and holistic health experts. Graves' disease is a disorder that attacks a person's immune system. The disease also causes eyes to become bulged as the eyelids retract and for the eyes to look red. Ash went on to send thanks out to the fans who reached out in a positive way and to those who brought the disease to his attention. The positivity guru said no matter how unkind individuals were towards him, he would continue to send love towards them.
Ash has also been compared to Jesse Meester as both seem to be a bit manipulative in the way they speak to their significant others, however, people who were accusing Ash of cocaine use due to his intense stare can now be educated on the real reason behind it. Fans are applauding Ash for speaking up about such a personal matter and about the positive way he's handling the bullies.
