Popular 90 Day Fiancé couple Armando Rubio and Kenneth Niedermeier recently got married in Mexico, and we're ready to share information about their relationship, from its beginnings to the current day. Armando and Kenneth have given TLC viewers #couplegoals right from the start. Known as one of the most romantic and genuine pairings in the franchise, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2 stars Kenneth, 57, and Armando, 31, surprised fans with their wedding news. They tied the knot in a magical ceremony at a winery in Baja California. While their season finale had revealed that their wedding would happen after their marriage license application was approved, the pair’s happy news is still bringing joy to fans of the franchise.

Kenny and Armando. whose love story was banned in anti-gay countries, were introduced as the 90 Day Fiancé franchise’s first same-sex male couple. Viewers met them in season 2, which incidentally featured some of the show’s most disturbing relationship plots. However, Kenny and Armando emerged as the ones with a believable storyline. There was no catfishing or cheating to worry about. The hit couple began their journey with Kenny leaving his family, including triplet daughters Taylor, Cassidy, and Madison, and son Bricen. His kids are all in their twenties. Kenneth said goodbye to them because he was moving to Mexico. Meanwhile, Armando, also a single dad to fan-favorite Hannah, 7, kept his future plans with Kenny a secret from his family. He told his family members that the cameras were filming him for a documentary on life in Mexico.

It was revealed that St. Petersburg, Florida resident Kenny (@kenneth_90day at Instagram) and his female friend had posed as a married couple so they could have kids via in vitro fertilization. Meanwhile, Armando (@armando_90day at Instagram) had a tragic past with his late wife. Hannah’s mom died in a car crash while she was pregnant, while in the midst of divorce proceedings with Armando. It was the macho culture in Mexico that had led Armando to get married to his ex, who was also his best friend. However, the future TLC celeb had revealed his sexual orientation to his wife after eight years of marriage, when Hannah was three. When she passed away, Armando became a single parent to Hannah. He lived at his parents’ property in San Felipe and ran a pet store and spa.

Meanwhile, 90 Day Fiancé star Kenneth, who had worked in property management, was looking at having a life post-retirement. Around that time, he met Armando on a social media page that was also a support group for gay dads. Armando and Kenny had chatted for a year before finally deciding to meet in Mexico. Despite their 26-year age difference, they formed a “unique, different and special” relationship. On the show, Kenny and Armando had moved into a gated community in La Mision, four hours away from the Rubio family house. Kenneth then began to adjust life as a gay man in the country. 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way scenes showed the pair dealing with homophobic slurs. The couple also met resistance from the Mexican star’s parents. This friction occurred after Kenny went to meet Armando’s parents, Virginia and Armando Sr.

The couple had gotten engaged in perhaps the most romantic proposal in 90 Day Fiancé history. It was secretly planned by Kenny and his daughters. However, Kenny and Armando faced a roadblock when their marriage license request was denied. Fortunately, Armando and Kenny did get approval, after a long wait due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Months later, in February 2021, the pair was invited on 90 Day Bares All. Fans were shocked as Armando’s mom revealed his father was still not aware of his son's engagement. However, Kenny and Armando’s wedding seemed to have featured both families in attendance, so the couple did get their 90 Day Fiancé happy ending.
