It’s not easy being the fan favorites on a drama-filled show like 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, but Kenneth Niedermeier and Armando Rubio have won the hearts of viewers. Breaking records by being the reality TV show’s first gay pairing, Kenneth and Armando gave fans a love story they truly rooted for. Their struggles seemed genuine, and their “couple goals” ways had 90 Day Fiancé fans fawning over them. Of course, fans want to know what happened to Kenneth and Armando after the curtains dropped.
The age gap didn’t matter when Kenneth, 57, met Armando, 31 in an online group for single dads. They instantly grew close. It was Armando who asked Kenny to start a life with him in Mexico, to which the St. Petersburg, Florida, resident gladly agreed. After selling his house, the 90 Day Fiancé star said goodbye to his four children and moved to Misión de San Miguel, while Armando struggled to come out to his conservative parents. However, the TLC star Armando had happier days after Kenneth Niedermeier’s romantic proposal by the seaside. Unfortunately, there was a hurdle. The couple was denied a marriage license in spite of gay unions being legal in the country. The process to finally win over the naysayers included Armando and Kenny writing to human rights organizations. Following a long delay due to COVID-19, they finally got approved to marry on the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way finale. What are Hannah’s “dos papas” up to now?
The finale saw 90 Day Fiancé’s Kenny taking Armando on a surprise beach picnic date, where they discussed their futures in Mexico together. As the couple went horseback riding into the sunset, many TLC fans couldn’t help but shed happy tears. At present, Kenneth and Armando still seem to be staying in their lovely La Misión home, with Hannah for company. In an interview from June with ET, Kenneth, who is one half of the “Romeo and Romeo” of 90 Day Fiancé, opened up about how it was an amazing feeling to show people “that two men can love each other and have a great life together.” Armando added that Kenny has always been the one person he could rely on, before confessing, “So, no matter what happened, he was my happiness, and no matter how things go with my parents or anybody in the world, nothing is going to take that away from me." Right after the show’s conclusion, Kenneth and Armando Rubio posted Instagram updates highlighting the message of “love is love” and “amor es amor.” While Armando wrote about valuing the “kindness, support and love” fans have shown them through their 90 Day Fiancé journey, Kenny exclaimed that “everything is worth the wait and fighting for if you know it’s right for you.” However, the “father of 5, grampy of 1” as Kenny calls himself on his Kenneth Niedermeier Instagram, also expressed, “our story isn’t over and so much still is yet unwritten.” See another pic of Kenny and Armando below:
Could this mean that the 90 Day Fiancé couple is not yet married... and planning on a spin-off return? The lockdown in Mexico has been lifted and civil offices are now opening again. While it's unclear if Kenneth and Armando have tried the knot or not, fans might just have to wait for an official update on the soon-to-release 90 Day Fiancé Tell-All. Until then, Armando and Kenneth’s fan club members can surely catch them on their social media profiles, having a ball with Hannah by posting selfies, celebrating her birthday, and of course, giving them plenty of “aww” worthy moments!
