She tells her fans that she looked for the cheapest flight ticket and found one for Ethiopia. Apparently, Ari then started working with a production company called Opanther Productions. At her job, she used to co-host radio shows and interview celebrities. While Ariela states that she wasn't looking for a man at the time, she fell for Biniyam. The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way celeb describes their first meeting as, "I was waiting for a taxi outside a local hotel and I saw a very attractive guy. I yelled out, 'Don't I know you from somewhere?' and it actually worked." In March 2019, she began managing her baby daddy's boxing career. Although she was certain that she didn't want to be in a committed relationship, she kept spending time with the 29-year-old TLC star. After three months, she found out that she was pregnant.
Before falling for Biniyam, Ariela was in a long-term relationship with her ex-husband Leandro. In Touch reports that she called Leandro her "best friend." She met him when she traveled to his country, Argentina, with her mother, Janice. After spending some time there, the New Jersey native wanted Leandro to come to the United States. Eventually, the couple got divorced in 2018. That's when she bought a cheap ticket to Ethiopia. According to a fan on Reddit, her ex is a physics graduate student in the United States.
