Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way have been trying their best to make their relationship work. However, in the August 17 episode, they are hit by another big snag when they found out their son can't be baptized unless the mother converts. Ariela is not enthusiastic about converting. In fact, she feels "uncomfortable with the idea of Christianity."

Although Ariela and Biniyam are one of the most promising couples of the season, they still have a few challenges to overcome. Ariela took a big risk by moving to Ethiopia so her boyfriend could be with her while delivering their baby. But since she arrived in the new country, she has been having second thoughts about whether she really wants to stay there or not. Biniyam has been trying his best to make her comfortable, but he has failed to provide suitable living conditions for his girlfriend and their unborn child. To top it all off, they now have to think about the religion of their son.

Recently, the father-to-be took his pregnant girlfriend to a church to discuss how to baptize their son. Biniyam is an Ethiopian Orthodox Christian and wants to baptize his son as Christian, even though Ariela is Jewish. The priest informs the couple that "before the baby can be baptized as a Christian, he must suckle from a Christian breast." During a confessional, Ariela said, "My parents are also not of the same religion. My father is Jewish, and my mother is Roman Catholic." So, Ariela is Jewish and isn't willing to accept Christianity as her new religion. In fact, she said she feels, "uncomfortable with the idea of Christianity because I don't believe in hell. It's just so awful to me. I just don't think that it's something we should be teaching our son about."

Ariela Biniyam: 90 Day Fiance

While discussing her son's religion with her American family, the TLC star said she wants to raise their son Jewish. When her sister questioned if Biniyam has a say in it, Ariela denied that he did and said she finds some aspects of his religion "superstitious."Ariela and Binyam don't share the same beliefs, and this might be a deal-breaker for their relationship. While the expectant mother wants her son to follow Judaism, Biniyam needs to have his child baptized so that he will go to heaven. In the upcoming episodes, it will be interesting to see how they work it out (if they do at all).

Many fans feel Ariela has already made many compromises for this relationship, and shouldn't make another one by changing her religion. At this point, Biniyam should understand and support Ariela's opinion, or perhaps drop the topic until the baby arrives.
