Ariela Weinberg has shocked 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans with her comments about baby Aviel and ex-husband Leandro, but she now claims there was a reason behind it. Along with Ethiopian fiancé Biniyam Shibre, Ariela currently stars in season 3 of the TLC spinoff with a controversial storyline involving her first husband. The New Jersey native Ari has been vilified after just two episodes which is an indicator of the drama that lies in future episodes. However, that’s not stopping Ariela from being witty with the critics that seem to judge her every move on 90 Day Fiancé.
The double standards of Ariela have been called out in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’s 2021 edition as in season 2, she was seen snatching Biniyam’s phone and wanting to go through it due to jealousy. Currently, Ariela’s plot is seeing her reveal that she never really broke up with Leandro, who was her plan B in case she wanted out of her free-spirited life.
On a recent Instagram post by Ariela Weinberg, a TLC viewer observed that 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3 “is a little stressful” and added, “poor Bini” which made his TLC co-star Ariela laugh. But a different commentator added, “you made him look foolish. ‘You could have had a kid like this with me.’" Ariela took this as an opportunity to defend her statement that had made Biniyam blurt out, “But maybe Leandro wants to be the step-father?” sarcastically. “It was a hilarious joke,” explained Ariela.
The former freelance writer also added, “I would say it again all day” before ending her comment with a laugh reaction. Another fan tried to defend Ari by saying that she was perhaps thinking out loud when she said it but it was not a “nice comment” nonetheless. Amid Ariela showcasing just how close her friendship with Leandro is and being called out for being manipulative, fans suspect she’s stirring the pot to make Biniyam jealous. In one of her earlier replies to a concerned 90 Day Fiancé fan, Ariela had declared that “some” of the things she’s doing with Leandro is just her “messing with Bini.”
Ariela comes across as approachable and fun on social media, which is something that fans noticed after her 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 1 stint had ended. The happy family of three earned lots of praise for their relatable content with Aviel. However, Ariela does admit that her sense of humor doesn’t translate well on TV. This is probably why her interactions with Leandro are making it look like she’s either head over heels in love with him or that her and Biniyam’s scenes are completely staged and scripted.
