Are Ariela’s parents, Fred and Janice Weinberg, now the most-hated couple on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way? Fred and Janice taunting Biniyam for his apartment might just sour his already-troubled relationship with Ariela. 90 Day Fiancé fans have expressed extreme anger at Ariela’s parents for their behavior, calling them “rude” and “patronizing” in comments online.
After Ariela’s much-awaited delivery on the TLC show, fans thought the tensions between her and Biniyam might see some relief. But just as Aviel’s baptism dilemma still exists, so do Biniyam’s financial troubles. Janice, who had earlier shown trust issues with Biniyam, also sowed seeds of doubt about him dancing with his ex in Ariela’s mind. Furthermore, Biniyam’s ex-wife also being an American made Janice suspicious about him wanting a green card. With Janice back in Ethiopia along with first-time visitor Dr. Fred, 90 Day Fiancé fans predicted nothing but trouble, and Ariela’s family proved them right. Biniyam showing them live chickens being culled gave Fred and Janice a major culture shock, but it was his apartment that they were really concerned about.
“I’m nervous to see how they’ll react as it’s not the greatest apartment,” confessed 90 Day Fiancé’s Ariela. Janice and Fred were then seen calling the place “small” and asking them to get a bigger place, maybe with a garden. But TLC shared a bonus scene from the episode on Instagram, which shows Janice being extremely critical of each room. “What’s wrong with this picture,” asks Janice to her husband upon seeing the baby’s cot. Fred jokes about the bathroom being small and “not having enough oxygen” for the two of them when they step in to examine it. Janice then laughs about Biniyam’s manual washing machine and Fred observes that the dryer is the balcony, as they saw the neighbors hanging clothes on theirs. “Where’s the rest of the kitchen?” Janice asks her daughter as Biniyam looks on humiliated.
TLC fans have not taken too well to Ariela’s parents’ criticism and have left angry comments such as, “This was so bloody rude. I’m so annoyed that they didn’t give a damn about whether they were offending him or not,” on the video. Another fan defends Biniyam by adding, “Poor guy is doing his best! Give him a break!” A second one writes, “How disrespectful and entitled they are. As Bini said, that’s the nicest place he’s ever lived.” A 90 Day Fiancé viewer mentions, “Don’t insult the man who works three or four jobs to support his family." Then, there’s a fan who declares, “Their daughter knew what Ethiopia was like before she moved there. I can’t stand her or her entitled parents.”
While the scene did not make it to last Sunday’s 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way episode, those on social media who have seen it are certainly switching sides. The video is indeed “painful to watch,” as a fan notes, with Ari’s folks insulting Biniyam’s culture and way of living. The last house Biniyam rented for Ariela was in a dilapidated condition, which even Janice saw. But this guest house shows Biniyam is trying his best to look after Ariela and Aviel. The speculations about Ariela moving back to America are soaring high, and this scene surely seems to be giving away a major spoiler about the 90 Day Fiancé couple’s future.
