Ariela Weinberg admitted that she can’t see herself getting married to Biniyam Shibre anytime soon on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. After enraging a legion of fans because of her close friendship with her ex-husband, Leandro Fosque, Ariela is having second thoughts about her future with Biniyam. During season 3 of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off, Ariela and Biniyam are staying together in Ethiopia eight months after welcoming baby Aviel, but things aren’t as happy as Instagram reveals. Moreover, Biniyam suspects Ari, who never really broke up with Leandro, may have also cheated on him.
Biniyam, who never got any conclusive answers from Leandro about him and pregnant Ariela staying together in the United States, made matters worse by inviting his own ex-girlfriend Tsion for an impromptu meal. But Biniyam’s revenge-seeking plan backfired when Tsion revealed that he had cheated on her and married his first wife, Bria. New Jersey native Ariela labeled Biniyam a hypocrite for judging her and Leandro when he had broken Tsion’s trust in the past. Avi’s mom admitted that she always worried about Biniyam making a stupid mistake that could compromise their 90 Day Fiancé relationship, and his ex-girlfriend spilling the beans made Ariela further worried.
In a preview for 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way episode 3, Leandro and Ari sit down when he wants to know if she feels homesick in Ethiopia. “Are you sure this is what you want to do for your future? Marry Bini? Building a family?” Leandro asks Ariela, who gives an answer that is quite surprising. Ariela mentions that she loves Biniyam a lot, and she believes that he wants to marry her. “But I don’t know if he knows how to be a husband,” Ariela says and notes that Biniyam still has a lot of things that he needs to work on. According to Ariela, Biniyam has issues communicating with her, and he often doesn’t think his actions through. The MMA champion is not the kind of person who hurts others on purpose according to his fiancée, but Ariela asserts, “It would be nice if I was with someone I didn’t worry about that person making stupid mistakes.” Since Ariela was married to Leandro for 10 years, her seeing him again as she explores her life with Biniyam has made her realize that “it’s not easy.” Ariela thinks that she and Biniyam have a lot of issues that they need to tackle before they even start to think of a wedding. “I’m hoping that if I show him that I love him enough and that me and Avi are not gonna leave him that that will really spark him to want to do better every time,” Ariela explains to Leandro.
This makes it clear that Ariela is aware of Biniyam’s biggest fear, which is that she would take Avi and go back to America just like Bria did with Simon. Leandro coming back has magnified Biniyam’s anxiety. Ariela and Biniyam have previously spoken about having disagreements over choosing a venue for their wedding day. But as 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3 has unveiled, the real reason behind Ariela not being ready to marry Biniyam is something else entirely.
