Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre are returning to 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3, but several clues suggest they won’t be together by the end of it. A pregnant Ariela had moved to Ethiopia from Princeton, NJ on season 2 of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off taking a plunge into the world of reality TV. While Ariela and Biniyam did get engaged by the end of it and had a baby boy, there were several ups and downs indicating they wouldn’t make it far with their relationship. Instagram posts made it seem like Ariela and Biniyam are happy, but the teaser for TOW teases a shocking plot twist in their love story.
When she wasn’t busy being a freelance writer and helping her doctor father at his practice, 90 Day Fiancé star Ariela was a world traveler who bumped into Biniyam in Addis Ababa while hailing a taxi. The couple dated for three months and an unexpected pregnancy turned Ariela’s world upside down she decided to relocate to Ethiopia so Bini could be closer to the baby. But Biniyam’s living conditions were not at par with Ariela’s or her parent's expectations and his family started pushing her into baptizing the baby. Ariela showed resistance at first, but their 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2 journey ended on the happiest note, surprising many.
Ariela’s Ex-Husband Pays A Visit
It was revealed early on during 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2 that both Biniyam and Ariela has been previously married. Much like his relationship with Ariela, Biniyam was with his American ex-wife Bria for about six months before she got pregnant. Biniyam was married to Bria for four years and had a baby that she apparently took along with her when she left him. Ariela, on the other hand, was married to her first husband Leandro, who visits her in Ethiopia on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way for ten years. Ariela had met Argentinian native Leandro while traveling to his home country, and it's alleged that he currently stays in the U.S. where he’s a physics graduate student.
Baby Aviel Has A Health Emergency
It was a whole year after Aviel’s birth that he was finally introduced in the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way timeline with Ariela and Biniyam. Avi was born on December 17, ahead of his due date, following complications experienced by Ari. The baby’s circumcision also caused an argument between the 90 Day Fiancé pair, although it was later handled peacefully. Since then, Aviel has become a fan-favorite on Instagram, as he makes regular appearances in his mom and dad’s updates. However, per Meaww, it was revealed that Avi requires hernia surgery during a routine pediatrician appointment.
Why Biniyam And Ariela Go Separate Ways
With Leandro’s arrival in their lives, Biniyam’s insecurity grows alarmingly. In the trailer, Biniyam comments that he won’t let the ex-husband take Ari away from him to America. However, Ariela feels the best option is to take Avi to the U.S. for him to receive medical care, and Biniyam fears she may never return again, just like in the case of Bria. It was revealed that Biniyam’s visa application was denied three times when he was with Bria. He was only allowed to visit her on humanitarian parole as baby Simon was diagnosed and born with gastroschisis.
Unfortunately, Biniyam’s life is following the same pattern again with Ariela. Upon first look, she also tells him, “I will never go back to Ethiopia after what you’ve done to me and Avi" during a video call from the US. What exactly Biniyam did on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is not yet known, and things seem to have ended between him and Ariela when she left for the States. Still, spoilers suggest that Biniyam did make his way to the US and was recently spotted by a fan in downtown Manhattan filming for a possible spin-off.
