Many 90 Day Fiance viewers were surprised to see Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre's son Aviel's fresh new look on Instagram. The new mommy posted an old photo of Avi in which he is sporting a shaved head. Ari and Biniyam featured on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way season 2 when they were already six months pregnant with their baby boy. In the beginning, many thought that this mismatched couple wouldn't be able to survive the hardships of a relationship. Ari had a challenging time while adapting to the new country and its culture. Moreover, she experienced a complicated childbirth.
Many 90 Day Fiance fans are quite attached to Avi because his birth was documented in 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way season 2. Despite facing the challenging circumstances, Ari was determined to make her relationship work with Biniyam. So, she adapted to Ethiopian culture and has been living in a third-world country for the last two years. She has also shown a drastic difference in physical appearance. Earlier, she used to prefer comfort over fashion. But, she now often flaunts her model-like figure in stunning makeup and fashionable outfits.
The 29-year-old beauty recently shared a throwback picture when her son was just a baby. The mommy-son duo is sitting in a rural area of Ethiopia. Ari captioned the photo as "Somewhere in the Ethiopian countryside." Avi is looking adorable in his shaved head and while wearing a cute white onesie. Many 90 Day Fiance fans found this picture surprising because they have seen Avi in a shaved-off look for the first time. A fan even asked Ari if he was really Avi. Another fan complimented him, "His eyes are just mesmerizing." Someone else said, "Omg he's adorable."
A fan asked Ari why she shaved his head. She replied, "I still didn't tell that story. I have to!" It seems like Ari had to shave her son's head as a part of Ethiopian culture. A quick search reveals that the Ethiopian Orthodox church requires a baby to shave off their natural hair before Baptism. Some other Hispanic countries require a baby to shave their original hair grown in the womb. On 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Ari was hesitant to let her son be baptized and circumcised. She was dragged for disregarding Ethiopian culture and not knowing enough about it.
Eventually, Ari recognized how important it was for Biniyam and his family to have Avi baptized, so she agreed. It is amazing to see that the New Jersey-born Ari is leading a comfortable and happy life in a third-world country. In fact, she is now helping the local people by raising fundraisers. She is also planning to start an NGO to help underprivileged people in Ethiopia. Jenny Slatten is also enjoying her life in India while living with her boyfriend, Sumit Singh. The former 90 Day Fiance star recently showed off her younger-looking figure in an Indian dress.
