David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan from 90 Day Fiancé posted dressed-up photos of themselves on Instagram to get both praised and called out by fans. The Pillow Talk favorites David and Annie, who first featured on season 5 of the TLC show, have stayed together against all odds. The road to America was a bumpy one for Annie who first met David after he was divorced, jobless, and recovering from a stroke in Thailand and got proposed to within 10 days. Highs and lows followed for David and Annie; however, like their cast members, the Arizona couple annoys many fans.
It was in 2017 that David and Annie were introduced as a couple on the reality TV show, and plenty of shocking incidents followed in their lives. Not only was there a 24-year age difference between David and Annie, but her family also ended up asking him for two water buffaloes in dowry when he was relying on his friend through financial difficulties. Getting married in the US also came at a price for Annie who was asked by David’s friend to give him a massage in a controversial 90 Day Fiancé scene. David and Annie have now been married for five years, and over their money problems as far as fans can see. The fact that they’re happy together was also evident through the recent wedding photoshoot that David and Annie posted on IG.
While Annie Suwan’s Instagram followers were still reeling from gorgeous wedding anniversary photos in a post about which got her just about over 100,000 likes, the 90 Day Fiancé star shared more photos of David and herself. “It is Time for Dessert,” Annie wrote in her caption. Meanwhile, David Toborowsky also shared a photo on his page, which featured Annie in a stunning red gown seated against a backdrop with an antique clock on it and wrote, “Everyday I wake up to my Queen it is like time stands still.” But at the same time, fans appear to have dragged David’s clothes. In his caption, he continued, “I promise to return Kim Jung Un's Outfit.”
At first glance, the comments section of Annie’s IG post shows her 90 Day Fiancé cast members such as Jenny Slatten, Tania Maduro, and Biniyam Shibre praising the photo, and the Thai beauty thanking them for it. However, there are several other messages from fans who are trashing David’s outfit. “Love you two but that suit has to go,” “that suit came from North Korea,” and "Get this man a tailored suit!!” are some of the responses. On Reddit too, fans have criticized David about the suit, calling it unfortunate, and mocking him for not checking the measurements or not even getting it altered before wearing it.
Still, David is not amongst the best-dressed cast members of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, so perhaps he could be given some leeway, especially since he’s done something like this for his wife for the first time. On the other hand, David and Annie continue to be a polarizing pair in 90 Day Fiancé as some fans suspect their original “how we met” story is far creepier. Some viewers have been put off by David and Annie’s loud jokes and “boom boom” content such as the Fuk soup which they prepared in their new spin-off 90 Day: Foody Call.
