90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem’s plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Obeng has given an update on claims of his alleged arrest in Ghana. Angela took the weight loss surgery route on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6. Angela needed breast reduction, which was done by her husband Michael’s “twin,” Dr. Obeng. Angela, who was extra flirty with her “handsome” doctor, got in trouble for attending his birthday party. Amidst the cheating allegations on the Tell-All, a story arose that said Dr. Obeng had been arrested, which Angela’s doctor has promptly denied.

During the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Tell-All, Angela was questioned about attending Dr. Obeng’s Los Angeles bash, after which he dropped her back to her hotel in a sports car. Michael wanted to know why Angela kept this a secret, especially since it involved her being unwell. For Angela, however, the flirting didn’t end. The 90 Day Fiancé meemaw also claimed that Dr. Obeng is a “man with the heart of gold” in a TikTok video after Michael asked Angela to marry the surgeon instead.

Meanwhile, 90 Day Fiancé cast member Dr. Obeng was left to deal with a crisis of his own when Business Insider Africa posted about his arrest in Ghana for working without a valid license from the Medical and Dental Council (MDC). As per the report, Dr. Obeng was allegedly “arrested in a joint swoop by the MDC and the Ghana Police Service,” supposedly as a part of a sting against 12 fake dentists and six fake medical doctors. Meanwhile, CheatSheet shared that 90 Day Fiancé’s Dr. Obeng confirmed that he was never arrested, while asking the publications who attempted to tarnish his reputation to retract their claims.

Dr Michael Obeng Plastic Surgery In 90 Day Fiance

The statement by Dr. Obeng, published in Pulse, showed him clearing up the misunderstanding by saying, “I have never performed surgery in Ghana for money. I have been traveling to Ghana with my team of doctors and volunteers for the past 14 years to perform free reconstructive surgeries,” he continued. Angela’s doctor often gets requests to perform plastic surgeries in Ghana. At times, online consultations were done, as they were not able to travel to the U.S. due to COVID-19, and payments were conducted via credit card.

A gentleman contacted Dr. Obeng’s Beverly Hills office and indicated he didn’t have a credit card, but wanted a meeting for liposuction. The appointment was scheduled for July 2021, and Dr. Obeng discovered the man had an umbilical hernia. The person was told they would have to pay $500 as a consultation fee, and asked to give it to Dr. Obeng’s security personnel. “An hour later he returned with some other people claiming to be from the Ghana Medical and Dental Council and the Ghana Police CID Department. Subsequent inquiries have revealed that the Medical and Dental Council were not aware of this individual and his activities, neither had they given any such instructions,” Dr. Obeng said, and eventually, the supposed arrest never happened.

Meanwhile, 90 Day Fiancé fans are keen to know how this love triangle between Angela, Michael, and Dr. Obeng develops on the show. It’s easy to see that Michael and Angela are still together and that she’s been irritating her husband by using Dr. Obeng’s name. Overall, Angela flashing is proof enough of her loving her new body. It makes sense for Angela to thank Dr. Obeng for the chest she’s proud of, even though she seemed unhappy with the reduction on the show.
