Controversial 90 Day Fiancé franchise star Angela Deem’s cryptic video with an unknown man has sparked rumors of her breakup with husband Michael Ilesanmi all over again. In the franchise Angela and Michael are perhaps more well known for their fights and breakups than their love for each other. Michael had sent Angela a message on Facebook, after which the 52-year-old fell for the 30-year-old Nigerian. At first, Angela thought Michael was a scammer but she followed her heart to go see him on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 2, marking her franchise debut.
Over the next few spinoffs that Angela and Michael featured in, not many viewers expected or hoped they would get married. However, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 5 in 2020 documented their wedding, and Angela waited for Michael to move to America on his spousal visa. With the distance between them, trust issues grew. Angela’s weight loss surgery bothered Michael, who wanted her to focus on making a baby for him instead. Angela found Michael's lack of support ridiculous, so she broke up with him in the Happily Ever After? season 6 Tell-All. Fans thought it was the end of Angela and Michael’s storyline, but she soon confirmed on an episode of 90 Day Bares All that they were still together.
Earlier this year, Angela’s 90 Day Fiancé nemesis and Michael’s countryman Usman Umar aka Sojaboy claimed the American woman used Michael for his money and for the show. Michael had fueled speculations of a split with Angela by relaunching his solo Instagram page. But soon enough the page went missing and there’s been no news about Michael. Recently, Angela posted a video of herself in a bikini on Instagram. A different video showed Angela in a pool accompanied by an unknown man. The text of the video read, “our friend @bigdaddydj574” and it looked like it was reposted by 90 Day Fiancé star Angela from the person’s TikTok page. Reddit user u/Available_Age7592 shared the video with fans while asking, “Is this Angela’s new boyfriend?”
Fans who are clueless about Angela and Michael’s relationship status in 2022 asked if the couple is now divorced. TLC viewer u/Pertinent-Petunia recalled Angela throwing a “hissy fit” over Michael being seen on the same boat as a different woman on the show. Worried fans discussed the dark mark on Angela’s lower lip, which they believe is a cigarette burn. A few thought it was good that Angela may have moved on after her breakup with Michael to date someone closer to her age. Someone asked if Angela had a black eye, while there were also questions about if Angela does return to 90 Day Fiancé, will it be on the next season of Happily Ever After?
That being said, the man in the video could be Angela’s friend or a TLC viewer she bumped into while enjoying the day by the pool. Angela was reportedly spotted filming in New York in December 2021, but it could have been for one of her 90 Day Diaries episodes if not a full-fledged spin-off. But the way Angela is maintaining secrecy around what happened between her and Michael suggests they will tell more on a new 90 Day Fiancé season together. Whether fans like Angela or not, they do truly care about Michael. Some even hope that Michael does get to come to America, for all the years that he’s spent getting treated badly by Angela.
