The 90 Day Fiancé stars Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi are back for a new season, and here’s what fans should know about their relationship timeline on the show. Angela first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in 2018, when she was still in Georgia, and preparing to meet Michael (who is 20 years younger than her) in Nigeria. Angela and Michael’s relationship started when he sent her a sweet text on Facebook, and Angela (then 52-years-old) was instantly smitten, even though her friends and daughters voiced concerns. While in Lagos, Angela and Michael started having disagreements, and she sometimes wondered if he was ashamed of her.

Shockingly, Michael admitted on B90 that he “did the BJ” with a local woman early on in his relationship with Angela. The 90 Day Fiancé franchise icon Angela never really trusted Michael after that, because she was afraid that he was cheating on her behind her back. However, Angela’s first trip ended when Michael gave her an engagement ring wrapped in an American flag. When she came home to the U.S., Angela accused Michael of emptying her bank account, after she’d given him her debit card, so he could withdraw just $300. Michael seemed to have taken out $900 due to an error. This was one of the first incidents when Angela screamed aggressively at Michael on the phone, verbally abusing him. In 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 3, Angela and Michael reunited again, as they waited for his K-1 visa.

A new onscreen quarrel led Angela to throw cake at his face when he tried to apologize to her with the dessert. Meanwhile, Angela and Michael discovered that the chances of her getting pregnant were slim, with Angela asking her daughter Skyla to “tote” her egg, a proposal that Skyla outright refused. Having a baby of his own was important to Michael, during a phase in which Angela learned about his visa denial when she was back home in the U.S., during 90 Day Fiancé season 7. The couple tried their best to iron out any cultural differences that they had, and didn't want their trust issues to affect their grand wedding in Nigeria on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 5. Angela and Michael got married in January 2020, but she soon had to rush home, as her mother passed away within a few days.

Angela and Michael now had to deal with the distance between them as a married couple, owing to COVID-19. As Angela waited for Michael’s spousal visa to be approved, she decided to take a break from finding a way to have a baby. She preferred to focus on slimming down. Michael was against Angela losing weight, and especially opposed to her getting a breast reduction, due to his obsession with her chest. Angela also made Michael feel insecure by flirting with her doctor, who performed her weight loss surgery. As Angela healed from her surgeries, she realized that Michael was not communicating with her. She even decided to track Michael’s location and activity remotely through his phone. The couple had another shocking fight, but decided to give their marriage another chance, at the request of Angela’s psychic. Tracey.

To win back Michael’s love, Angela got new breast implants, which she flashed at the cameras during the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6 Tell-All, during an argument with Michael’s aunt, Lydia. Lydia was judging Angela for getting weight loss surgery, instead of making a baby. In turn, Angela felt like Michael was supporting his aunt during the discussion. The season ended with Angela telling Michael that she was done, and that she’d now flaunt her 100-pound weight loss like a single woman, until he could get to the U.S. In her ongoing 90 Day Fiancé spin-off, Angela will meet a new man from Canada, seemingly provoked by Michael's growing neglect. A scene also has Angela wrecking Michael’s car in Nigeria, and him calling it quits. However, in typical Angela and Michael fashion, there is a strong possibility that this couple will get back together.
