During weight loss surgery, 90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem has faced a big challenge with quitting smoking and cola even after her doctors insisting. Episode 7 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? saw Angela get a wake-up call after her plastic surgeon Dr. David Saddat put his foot down and refused to do Michael’s wife’s facelift. Angela was told by her doctors even before her surgery that she had to quit smoking after having found cigarettes and lighters in her bra. But Angela not only smoked before and after her operations, but she also got scared when asked by Dr. Saddat to sign a no-smoking contract, and in a preview considered hypnosis. But even almost a year later, Instagram proved Angela has not stopped smoking.
Even though Michael was shocked to hear Angela spending $25,000 on her facelift, the 90 Day Fiancé star said it’s her money and she decides how to use it. Dr. Saddat told Angela that the facelift and chin liposuction would take years off her face on episode 6 but this week, he asked her to do a nicotine test. And as soon as she was in her rented car to drive back to the hotel, Angela lit a cigarette again. “It’s just dumb,” Angela told herself and did it anyway. But a preview for episode 8 of HEA showed a producer asking Angela if the cigarette in her hand is her last one, and her replying, “this is the last one I'm having.” But a peek into Angela’s Instagram Sunday revealed that wasn’t the case. Angela shocked her followers by revealing her weight loss and new stylish look at a party in Los Angeles.
At the party, Angela was joined by daughter Skyla Deem, her manager Gina, her patient coordinator from 90 Day Fiancé, Natasha Fett, and Dr. Michael. K Obeng. Fans saw Angela looking slimmer than ever before, perhaps after having lost more than 100 pounds, as she partied with her friends. Her tight-looking face also hinted at Angela finally having done her facelift, and fans believed that maybe she’d said bye to the cigarette. But Angela shocked fans by posting a story where she sat while making a peace sign with two ladies captioned, “beauty times 3” with a cigarette in her right hand.
It’s clear to see that Angela has not quit her 43-year-old bad habit yet. On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Angela considered getting hypnotized as her last bet. But Angela’s grand plan seems to have failed, putting the suspicions of her getting a facelift also at bay.
