Angela Deem shocked 90 Day Fiancé viewers by performing a headstand to flaunt her 100 pounds-plus weight loss. At 56, Angela is one of the best-known faces in the reality TV world. The Georgia woman wasn’t looking for love when Michael Ilesanmi sent her a sweet Facebook message. But it didn’t take Angela long to go all the way to Nigeria to get married to the man, who was almost 30 years younger than her. After their wedding in January 2020, Angela has been waiting for Michael’s visa to be approved and for him to finally come to the States. As the months went by, Angela decided to take charge of her health and look younger in the process.
Angela’s decision to get weight loss surgery wasn’t supported by Michael, who liked her the way she was. But Angela worried about early death, or perhaps, Michael dumping her for a new woman in the U.S. Angela weighed 273 pounds prior to her August 2020 trip to Los Angeles. Angela got five surgeries in a day to save time. These included gastric sleeve surgery, breast reduction, and liposuction, and Angela was under anesthesia for six hours. Even though Angela refused to give up smoking and was not ready to be healthy, she did end up dropping from a size 22 to a size 11 during the course of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?
However, Angela, who’s been mocked for the way she looked due to her rapid weight loss, is showing no signs of letting her fitness take a backseat now. Angela seems to have lost more weight than before even though she hasn’t specified a number. The grandmother of six proved how fit she is even at her age by attempting a scary headstand on Instagram. Angela posted a new video using the song “Maniac” by Michael Sembello where the 90 Day Fiancé star walked into the frame dressed in a black tank top and black shorts. “Okkk not perfect but first try,” Angela wrote as a caption for the video as she told the camera, “let’s try.”
While Angela couldn’t do a full headstand, she did pull off a half handstand with one of her legs resting on a wall. After it was done, Angela jumped around happily and didn’t look tired or dizzy, in fact, looking more youthful than ever. Fans applauded Angela for how energetic she is, as some told her that they can’t do what she did at even half her age. “Our transformation has clearly changed your life!!” wrote a 90 Day Fiancé fan to Angela, and someone else added, “I’d need an ambulance crew to help me down.” Angela did get her usual share of snide comments from fans who thought she was “too old to be doing that,” or the ones who weren’t impressed by Angela because she just “leaned up against a wall.”
But Angela’s stunning weight loss aside, some of her followers noticed that giving her company in the video is a giant Pennywise the Clown. Angela didn’t bother to explain why she was celebrating Halloween in June, and neither has she been replying to comments asking about Michael’s whereabouts. A few fans think Michael is already in America which means he would be filming for a new 90 Day Fiancé spin-off with Angela. Regardless, Angela doesn’t need to spill her relationship secrets on social media for attention. Angela may not be an expert at yoga just yet, still, she knows all the moves to keep herself in the spotlight.
