After her weight loss, 90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem has not been afraid of flaunting her new skinny body on Instagram, but fans are not approving of Michael’s wife’s new ways. At 55, nursing assistant Angela is looking her best yet, with a fabulous new body and style to match it. Since 2018, Angela has never quite managed to make a good impression on TLC viewers. Their multiple break-ups and explosive arguments, in which Angela was the one being insecure and unreasonable with Michael for even glancing towards other women are infamous. However, on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Angela has been flirting with her doctors on-screen and partying off-screen.
Despite their very shaky relationship, Michael and Angela were married in January 2020 in Nigeria, proving their naysayers wrong. But immediately after, Angela moved back home due to a family emergency, and eight months later, she had weight loss surgery. The long-distance was a challenge for Michael and Angela, resulting in communication issues. But while Angela may have lost the 100 pounds for Michael to like her more, the 90 Day Fiancé star has never been more confident in her own skin. Now, Angela is the star of Instagram, fetching double taps and critical comments alike.
Over the weekend, Angela was reportedly filming the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6 Tell-All in New York, as per her own Instagram. In a photo where Angela wore skinny jeans and rainbow hair, she showed the New York skyline while promoting Dr. Michael K. Obeng and his clinic. Accompanying Angela was her daughter and 90 Day Fiancé fan-favorite, Skyla Rae, who also posted adventures with her mom from the fun trip. On her IG, Skyla mentioned the “perks of having a famous momma” and how they get her to skip the line, and a video showed Angela shimmying in a floral top at New York’s Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge.
A 90 Day Fiancé fan page @90daythemelanatedway reposted the video of Angela to their page and it got some harsh comments from fans. “Imagine if Michael hit up the bars like that,” said one TLC viewer, and, “She really thinks she's a star,” sighed another. A different fan posted, “I’m so sick of her,” with another commenter asking if Angela was still with Michael because Angela “just seems to be letting loose and enjoying herself like everyone after a breakup.”
Angela was also called an “attention seeker” in the comments, but a fan joked about the 90 Day Fiancé star having finally bought a purse. Many others commented about her looking “fabulous” and “freaking great.” While Angela’s antics could be hinting at separation from Michael, the 90 Day Fiancé couple is still very much together, according to a recent goof-up by the meemaw on Instagram. And if Michael is OK with Angela partying or flirting, perhaps the critical comments don’t matter to her, anyway.
