Recently, the 55-year-old meemaw made headlines for mentally and verbally abusing her husband, Michael Ilesanmi. Fans called out the TV network for broadcasting her problematic and toxic behavior on national TV without any acknowledgment of the abuse.
At the same time, Angela was accused of being an accessory to her daughter Scottie Deem's crimes. According to the claims, she allegedly supplied alcohol and narcotics to teenage boys that used to come to her house. Angela was also accused of providing a place to get laid for the minors. Still, she has got some loyal fans who enjoy watching her entertaining personality on the show. They are also in awe of Angela's weight loss after she had a gastric sleeve and breast reduction surgery.

Even though Angela has spoken about the excess fat under her chin, she is radiating happiness. When Angela first started her weight loss journey, she weighed 273 pounds. She believed that she would have a heart attack if she didn't lose weight. She has now lost over 100 pounds in the last year and is feeling great in her body.
