Former 90 Day Fiancé star Anfisa Nava shared the news about her becoming an American citizen with her Instagram fans. Since her split with Jorge Nava, the Russian native has been doing a lot of things to surprise TLC viewers. Anfisa gained popularity when she started her 90 Day Fiancé journey with Jorge in season 4. Jorge and Anfisa’s fights often took violent turns, and fans watched her proudly admit that she was with him for his money and a Green Card. But after Anfisa got married to Jorge, he ended up getting arrested and was sent to prison for two-and-a-half years for marijuana possession.
Jorge didn’t defend his wife when it came to accusations of her being materialistic or a gold digger. But perceptions about Anfisa soon started to change when she quit 90 Day Fiancé and began her new life in California. Anfisa lost weight and trained hard to become a certified fitness instructor. She got top scores in her first bodybuilding competition. She enrolled herself in community college and recently graduated with an honors degree from the UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business. Anfisa started earning through OnlyFans and also gained thousands of followers on social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube.
Fans realized 90 Day Fiancé celeb Anfisa was completely different from her portrayal on the TLC show. The same fans who criticized Anfisa for taking advantage of Jorge are now congratulating her for earning her right to call herself a proud American. Currently residing in San Diego, Anfisa teased her Instagram followers by telling them she had a “big day” coming up. Amidst fans who thought it was Anfisa’s birthday, or her getting a master’s degree, many guessed it was “citizenship.” Anfisa’s next Instagram post was her wearing a white top and her hair flying in the wind as she waved the American flag. She posted a photo of herself standing outside a USCIS Field Office as a reflection behind her showed Anfisa’s boyfriend pointing his camera at her.
Meanwhile, Anfisa’s rumored boyfriend Joseph with the username @sdnative858 wrote, “Congratulations! I’m proud of you!” and she thanked him with a smiling face with hearts emoji. “I admire the woman you are and have made of yourself,” a fan commented on Anfisa’s photo, as they told her that she deserves all the success and happiness in the world. Anfisa also shared a photograph of her U.S. citizenship welcome letter from U.S. President Joe Biden. Anfisa received a bouget of red, blue and white roses, and she clinked wine glasses with her mystery man as she enjoyed baos and a steak dinner at a steakhouse restaurant located in the Marina District of San Diego.
Life looks very different for Anfisa and even Jorge after they officially went their separate ways in 2019. While Jorge was given an early release, he also revealed he now has a new girlfriend named Rhoda Blua. 90 Day Fiancé stars Anfisa and Jorge were officially divorced in December 2020, after which he welcomed a baby girl in April 2021 and later a baby son in March of this year. Anfisa’s dry sense of humor may have landed her in trouble on 90 Day Fiancé, but it took her a short while to prove that she's much more than that. While there are still fans who do not approve of Anfisa’s behavior on reality TV, the number of well-wishers she has easily outnumbers them.
