TLC's 90 Day Fiancé fans, in all their infinite wisdom, have taken to the Internet to compare Andrew Kenton to the Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons. Andrew is the tall, burly, and hirsute daycare owner from Roseville, California. His debut on season 8 introduced audiences to him and his stunning fiancée Amira Lollysa, who hails from France. The only thing is, Andrew's striking resemblance to Comic Book Guy has painted him a comedic light, rather than portraying him as a romantic hero, as he might prefer.

The comparisons were instantaneous. The cartoon character's actual name is Jeff Albertson and he's voiced by veteran comic actor Hank Azaria. His first appearance on The Simpsons dates all the way back to 1991. What links the TV stars are their body types, lackadaisical speech patterns and ways of moving, as well as their slicked-back ponytails and love of all things Comic-Con. Andrew has shown off some of his fantasy gear, while Comic Book Guy is a massive snob when it comes to his nerdiness. Both are also entrepreneurs, as Andrew runs his own daycare, while the Comic Book Guy is the proprietor of...well, obviously, a comic book shop.

Andrew and the very photogenic Amira may be traversing the often rocky waters of love and the K-1 visa, but Comic Book Guy has had his own brushes with romance, too. Who could forget his dalliance with the spicy teacher, Edna Krabappel. About his one-time girlfriend, Comic Book Guy once said, "I adore Edna. She's near mint and comes from a very limited edition - females who will talk to me."

Comic Book Guy stares angrily at his computer.

However, the joke's now on fans of 90 Day Fiancé. In February, Andrew changed his look, shaving down his shaggy signature goatee. He's still a big, cuddly fellow, although with much less of an obvious connection to Comic Book Guy. Still, with so many other similarities between the two, Andrew will have to do a lot more to escape his doppelganger. Hopefully, he and Amira can overcome some of their earlier logistical problems, so that more of her elegance and style can rub off on affable Andrew.

90 Day Fiancé fans are some of the most loyal viewers around. Then again, so are fans of the long-running animated series, The Simpsons. While The Simpsons parodied a number of famous celebrities, very rarely has any of its characters found a real-life counterpart. Andrew Benton is a quirky guy who has that fantasy nerd thing down pat, making him a shoo-in for the Comic Book Guy. However, his cartoon lookalike doesn't seem to have anyone like Amira in his life.

Perhaps with all of the comparisons swirling around the Internet, Simpsons creator Matt Groening will make art imitate life by giving Comic Book Guy his own Andrew Benton-like storyline, complete with a European fiancée and a failed rendezvous to Mexico (which goes horribly wrong for her but is super fun for him). Maybe The Simpsons producers could even write Andrew into an episode where he and Jeff are long-lost brothers. After all, stranger things have happened.
