Fans have been critical of the way Andrew Kenton treats Amira Lollysa on 90 Day Fiancé season 8, since day 1. The daycare dude has been called out plenty of times for being passive-aggressive and demanding of French-Egyptian Amira even when she was just out of jail, and he was vacationing in Puerto Vallarta. The recent episode showed Andrew pressuring Amira into going to Serbia despite her having lived through a nightmare. However, a look into Andrew’s past throws up the fact the 90 Day Fiancé star had once declared himself a feminist. And fans are clearly not happy as this is the same Andrew who’d called his fiancé “a fame-hungry liar” while declaring she didn’t need “lip fillers or filters.”

Possibly to convince Amira that his Serbia plan is foolproof, Andrew got an immigration attorney to talk to her on episode 12. As a grinning Andrew drank out of a mug with his own face on it, he got approval on the Serbia plan by the attorney. With just 24 days left till her visa expired, Amira suggested getting a reissue. “History repeats itself,” said Amira as her 90 Day Fiancé partner masterfully gaslighted her into following through with the Serbia trip. Amira may have cried that it was Andrew’s “role to reassure,” but her self-proclaimed feminist boyfriend got defensive and curtly ended the video call by telling her to get back when she had “some sort of resolution.”

Andrew, who got defensive when called out by Amira over his failed Mexico plan, was  penning down lines years ago such as, “Women deserve better and we should not be shackling them with fetters.” As reported by Starcasm, Andrew, 33, who’s also an aspiring author and poet, had done a poetry reading in 2014 at Sacramento. The flyer has a few details about the TLC star’s past. Andrew’s bio on it reads that he “holds a Mater’s [sic] degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution” which he received while living in Europe. The 90 Day Fiancé cast member is “a world traveler and uses his experiences to create a thought-provoking dialogue,” and that Andrew has a “love for spoken word,” alongside a “dash of well-placed comic timing.

Andrew Kenton Throwback Feminist Poet In 90 Day Fiance

While mentioning that he was back then in the process of writing a “science fiction novel,” the source also provides 90 Day Fiancé star Andrew’s writing sample titled, “A Letter To My Gender,” where he refers to himself as a feminist. Clearly, as soon as fans read through Andrew’s poem, they couldn’t help but stop themselves from commenting on his problematic behavior on 90 Day Fiancé. “Yes, we saw how well he secured and resolved that international conflict… he didn’t do s**t,” writes one fan as a second one noted, “he is far from being a feminist! He is extremely misogynistic in the way he treats Amira.”

Another TLC viewer observes that perhaps Andrew's degree should be “Masters in Gaslighting and drama creation” instead. With the amount of criticism that is coming Andrew’s way, he also seems to be getting strangely supported by his fellow 90 Day Fiancé cast members like Jovi Dufren. Yaza Zaya’s husband had recently called Amira a liar who only wanted to be on TV. Could it be that Andrew does have a way of redeeming himself which he’s saving for later on 90 Day Fiancé that may make peoples’ faith in Amira come crashing down? Or could Andrew finally learn to act like the feminist he claims to be and show Amira support even if she does not give in to his whims and fancies?
