It’s no secret that 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? cast member Andrei Castravet clashes with his in-laws, but some viewers believe that his feud with the Potthasts won't ever reach a happy conclusion. Andrei has aired his combative personality across numerous 90 Day Fiancé shows, and his wife Libby has backed him up the entire time. Libby has always taken her husband's side when it comes to his never-ending feud with her family, even though they rely on patriarch Chuck Potthast for work and money.
Tensions between the couple and Libby's family reached an all-time high on Happily Ever After season 6. Andrei decided that after three years of not working, he wanted to be a real estate agent after obtaining his license. When Chuck turned down Andrei's request for a $100,000 loan, Andrei decided to join the Potthast family business. This led to more tension between Andrei and Libby's siblings Charlie and Becky and drama boiled over during a family yacht outing. When her siblings insulted Andrei, Libby defended her husband and ended up in a physical fight with Becky. It appears that the drama is not ending anytime soon, with even more issues awaiting airtime.
Andrei recently told ET that future episodes of Happily Ever After would feature him exposing Libby’s siblings for past secrets. The Moldovan man appeared gleeful with his season teasers and did not make any attempt to mend his relationship with Libby’s siblings. In fact, Andrei called her siblings greedy and said they all took from Chuck but didn’t want to share the wealth with Andrei. He then added that they were likely afraid of Andrei taking over the company, which he said could very well happen. Since tension is already rife between Andrei and the siblings on the show, it’s certain that his future revelations and gloating attitude will only serve to further anger them.
Many viewers find Charlie and Andrei to be too similar to get along. Both men are stubborn, arrogant, egocentric and prone to anger. Fans find it to be unlikely that the men can make up after all of their issues. Furthermore, there is no indication that they would want to. Andrei made it clear that Chuck is the only Potthast family member with who he has any respect for or desire to work alongside. Andrei also stated that he only tolerates Libby’s siblings for his wife’s sake. Since her sisters are angry that Libby always defends her husband, it’s likely that Libby will end up being estranged from her siblings if the drama continues. She confirmed to ET that she was on Andrei's side and her siblings had whatever he does against them coming their way due to them disliking Andrei and digging up his past.
While it's unlikely that Andrei and the Potthast siblings will ever overcome their issues, given everyone involved has a stubborn and arrogant personality, there is a chance that the family is inventing drama for attention. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans believe the family wants their own spin-off show. Therefore, it isn't too far of a stretch to believe that the family could be exaggerating issues to drum up enough interest for this reason. However, many 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? viewers are strongly against the family's drama and Andrei's animosity for his in-laws appears very much genuine.
