Andrei Castravet of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? started off as a hated personality on the show. But over the course of the last few weeks, Andrei has transformed into somewhat of a hero, albeit one whose methods are a little questionable. Andrei's bluntness initially turned a lot of viewers off, but everything is starting to look up for him now.

The recent chumminess between Andrei and the Potthast family was short-lived. After the winemaking, Chuck, Charlie, and Jenn met up with Andrei's good friend to again question why Andrei left Moldova and moved to Ireland. The Potthast family has been on a mission to bring down Andrei, as they never liked him in the first place. Ever since the family found out Andrei used to be a detective in his home country, they've been obsessed with discovering the reason behind his move. Andrei, however, hasn't wanted to talk about it. In their defense, Andrei's angry responses to their constant interrogation have made it look like he's hiding something.

Andrei finally revealed why he left Moldova after another argument with his wife. Apparently, a corrupt police force forced Andrei to leave the only country he had ever known. Fans were a bit surprised that Andrei opened himself up so easily. After a few moments of arguing, Andrei revealed he did not want to lose Libby. He referred to the Moldovan police force as the "mob" and explained that he had no choice but to leave. They wanted him to participate in their corrupt, unlawful behavior, but he refused.

90 Day Fiance -Happily Ever After -Andrei and Elizabeth Castravet

Fans are now starting to see the father of one in a totally different light. Many believed he was lying and a bad person at the core, but it turned out he has a heart of gold. The frank conversation he had with Elizabeth solidified that he had made the right move to leave because if he hadn’t, he could have been killed or put in jail. He did not want to be a part of putting good and innocent people behind bars. While he is not a superhero, he is no longer coming across as a villain.

It even seems that Elizabeth’s family is coming around to Andrei after the talk. During a sneak peek, Chuck Potthast is seen giving a toast saying he loved his son-in-law. After a great day at a winery, TLC viewers are hoping the family can mend their ties and move forward.
