A 90 Day Fiancé fan claimed that Andrei Castravet doesn't need to prove his employment to renew his Green Card; they have allegedly been through this process and claimed that it is a fake storyline developed either by 90 Day Fiancé producers or the Potthast family. Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei got married in October 2017 and welcomed their baby girl in January 2019. Soon after the wedding, Andrei may have received his Green Card with a two-year validity. However, that is going to expire soon.

Now the couple wants to apply for Andrei's 10-year Green Card. But it seems like his application may not be approved, and he might get deported, even though he has been with Elizabeth for over three years in the United States and has a 2-year-old daughter, Eleanor Castravet, with her. During the show, Andrei's lawyer told him that he needs to have a spotless criminal record in Moldova and a job in America to be approved for his new Green Card. The Moldovan native affirmed that he has a clean record in his home country.

Since he needed a solid job, Andrei joined his father-in-law Chuck Potthast's real estate business. Now many 90 Day Fiancé viewers think that this whole storyline was fake. Andrei's deportation/Green Card plot was introduced so that he could work with Libby's family and create more drama. A fan, who has been through the same process, claimed on Reddit, "Andrei needing a job to keep his green card is BS." The fan apparently came to the United States on a K-1 visa and then got the conditional Green Card. The fan added, "You absolutely do not have to have a job to have your Green Card renewed."

90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After's Andrei Castravet

According to the fan, a couple only has to prove that they have an ongoing real marriage by showing "a joint bank account, lease in both names, child's birth certificate, etc." The fan claimed that this storyline is untrue and has been made up for the show. Other 90 Day Fiancé fans also seem to believe this claim. They left comments like, "A ton of the 90 day spouses stayed unemployed so it's a stupid storyline for TLC to cook up" and "I don't believe anything they say or do. I had to stop watching. TLC must think their viewers are idiots."

It is true that some 90 Day Fiancé stars have been in the United States without having any traditional jobs. Even though Natalie Mordovtseva has apparently separated from Mike Youngquist and doesn't seem to have a job, she is living in Florida. Anfisa Arkhipchenko got married to Jorge Nava in 2017, and they filed for divorce in 2020. The Russian native is still living in the United States without a traditional job. She is working as a fitness trainer and a model. So it seems like Andrei and Libby's fake plot lines have been exposed by 90 Day Fiancé viewers yet again.
